Captain George's Fish & Chips gardiners road

As usual, the fish and chips is the best we have had in Kingston. We had poutine this time. It was very good and cheesy. The Cole slaw is good. Covid, the previous owners and the shut down has hurt the business. Kingston needs this place so come out and keep it alive!

Wow. I had such a feast. 2 piece fish snd chips So much I couldn't eat it all. Brought a good half of it home. Lovely restaurant very clean and exceptional service. Brittney is a credit to servers everywhere. So polite and very efficient.and food quality is at the top. Very delicious well cooked and very tasty. My 1st time there but won't be my last. Definently worth your time to visit this place. You go in hungry but uou won't leave hungry. Good size portions. Thank you for such great service and best Fish and Chips.

The fish and chips were badly undercooked and soaked in oil, making them unpleasant to eat. To make matters worse, the poutine gravy had a strong burnt, off-putting taste. Overall, the food was poor quality and a complete disappointment.

There’s more than just fish and chips at Captain George’s. There’s burgers, fries, Greek salad, shrimp, scallops and yes even the famous “Bubbas original poutine.” Top notch service, great atmosphere and quality food that will make everyone happy. You will find it all at Captain George’s. If you’re not in the mood to cook then sneak out to Captain George’s. You won’t be disappointed.

This brother and sister owned restaurant has amazing, large, plump shrimp deep fried in a generous quantity to a golden,crispy perfection. The generously portioned fish was tender and also coated in a delicious batter. The cole slaw achieved a rarely-seen perfect balance between tanginess and creaminess. The portion sizes were excellent value for money. The service was outstanding with the owners doing the cooking, serving, busing and cleaning, all while engaging the customers in conversation at a level above and beyond the usual courtesies. Overall, an outstanding experience, highly recommended!
