The menu here is wonderful - try the Bresaola ! I miss the cozy bar they used to have however the atmosphere post renovation is still very inviting. Definitely worth a stop if you're visiting the city.

Me and my boyfriend went to this restaurant because we saw all the amazing reviews. We ordered the lamb shank, veal parmigiana, the bread and oil and for dessert we got the cheesecake. The food was absolutely delicious however our server made us feel incredibly uncomfortable. Immediately we felt her hostility towards us. She had the fakest smile and was very passive aggressive, almost like she thought we didn’t belong there? I don’t know if maybe it’s because we looked younger or cause we were the only non-white people there but there was definitely some prejudice behind her eyes. After we finished eating she brought the bill not even two minutes after we were done eating and mind you we never even asked for it yet. Such a shame because the food was absolutely delicious but we never felt this unwelcome to a restaurant ever. The whole time we were very respectful and mindful, and there were maybe 3-4 other tables with people in it so it’s not like they were busy. Such a horrible experience.

This is one of the best restaurants I’ve tried in Kingston! The atmosphere was beautiful, and all the food and drinks were amazing. Their drink menu was extensive and unique, and every drink we got we loved! Our server Megan was extremely attentive the entire night and was one of the best servers I’ve had in a long time! She went out of her way to bring a dessert for my friends birthday and overall made our dining experience wonderful! Highly recommend!

Perfect dining experience. Mezzanine seating looked out on the ice rink at Market Square. The Calabasso Chianti Superior wine, antipasto of bread and oil with the gnocchi and genvesse dishes were wonderful. Our evening was perfect and Julia our server was a gem. Would definitely go back again.

☆☆☆☆☆ Their recent renovation is superb. A treat for all of my senses. And the food is exceptional. I recommend the chicken with pistachio and gorgonzola sauce. (Pollo Scatto?) OMG!☆☆☆☆☆ So good. A restaurant that adds the perfect "Je ne c'est quoi" to your visit and this sets it apart from any other dining experience. Honestly, I could have licked my plate. It was that good.

Hands down, 1 of the best restaurants in Kingston.
I’ve been to Casa since my time at Queen’s (about 10 years ago) and its first few experiences have driven me to come back over and over again, despite now residing in the Toronto area. It is our go to restaurant when my partner and I are craving Italian food and in the area.
Pro’s: - Atmosphere: It’s perfect for a date night, or perhaps a group gathering (do make a reservation in advance though!) - The service; genuinely all of the waitresses and staff try to give you the best experience. They are very accommodating and sometimes even go beyond what you’d normally expect at a restaurant. For example, they split our pasta to two plates when we explained we had already had a heavy brunch earlier. Or they’d brought a small hand towel, despite it being an odd request, as my partner was feeling a headache after long drive + errands in Kingston. - Location; it’s near the harbour front and so the view can be spectacle (ie. visit the Kingston City Hall, or ice skate in the winter)
Con’s: - Potential con is that there is no parking provided but that is to be expected as it is downtown Kingston; but parking fees are reasonable. In our case, we stayed at a nearby hotel, so it was the perfect walking distance.
I look forward to returning, and perhaps trying out dishes besides the pastas, next time! :)
