I saw more than once the female staff put the spoon she use to take out the smoothie into cups and put the spoon in her mouth to taste the leftover smoothie… which is so disgusting… and the pearls were always too sticky feel like those were put forever and not fresh… Used to enjoy Chatime drinks. These couple months experience made me disappointed

A honest review after taking drinks from chatime, I use to drink from chatime a lot like every single day. But from sometimes I am thinking that it’s a waste of money like no taste nothing I am taking hazelnut milk tea and previously it was good but now onwards it’s like just milk and ice that’s it even I have to add sugar by my own no flavour nothing. Previous staff was best but there is one lady new in the staff mostly during evening spoiled the taste this is the fourth time I just took a one sip of my drink and thrown it in garbage. Everyone else in the staff is good and polite but that’s not the only thing we need. Though taste is also on the same priority.
I literally got watered down boba. I am able to see through my drink. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

Don’t come here unless you don’t mind your drinks being contaminated.To begin with my experience here, I entered the store and the store staff referred me to the kiosk to order! Like I’m not sure about you but since the pandemic ended I really look forward to face to face interactions. Secondly, when I could not figure the kiosk out, I gave up and went to the counter. The female worker then informed me that their super size cups were unavailable which to a certain degree is fine as they can’t do anything about it. After I ordered my drinks, I observed the female worker making another drink and after she was done making it. She used a spoon to take some of the drink out of the cup and then put that spoon in her mouth. This was disgusting as I thought how unsanitary it was. Thirdly, I received my drinks after watching the female use the same shaker that she used to make prior drinks without washing it. Mind you I have a lactose intolerance (this will be relevant soon). Lastly, when I got home I drank my drink and after having finished 1/4 of the drink I was immediately facing stomach pain. I thought to myself why would I be having these issues? But then I remembered watching the female worker not cleaning the shaker and then I immediately thought the female made a milk drink prior to mine and now I’m stuck with having my pains and writing this review.

I just move to Kingston and have no idea where to go for a nice boba shop, I just randomly searched and found Chattime which is the only shop open until 12:00 am. So I decided to give it a try. But it turned out the Brown Sugar Crema Pearl which I ordered was so good that it surprised me. And the manager who friendly greeted me at the beginning always giving me a welcome vibe, making me want to come back for next time. Great drink, great service. Chattime here makes me feel like I have a place to visit for my comfort drink in a new city to me.
Ordered from here twice in the Fall, first through UberEats, and second in person for take-out. Both times, I ordered a Jasmine Jade milk tea with tapioca. The first time, they sent me a Pearl Milk Tea (black tea). The second time, they straight up just gave me milk with tapioca. Absolutely no tea flavour whatsoever. Ive been to many Chatimes all over Toronto, New Market, Waterloo, etc. and never experienced such a lapse or difference in quality from a Chatime before this location. The second experience was honestly kind of shocking and upsetting to pay $7-8 for milk. Seems like the staff don’t know how to make basic drinks?
