Great service. Loved the fish and chips although the chips were a little salty. Burgers good. Would order these again. Quiet enough to be able to converse with others at our table.

Been going here since I was a kid. Legendary spot with amazing food. Moved back to kingston area and found the food to be unrecognizable unfortunately. Pressed deli turkey on the club house for $22..meh. They used to serve real roasted turkey for less money lol oh well times change. Awesome service, overpriced sad food.

We had a great time at the Copper Penny — the food was absolutely the highlight! It’s rare to find a restaurant that takes the time to sauté and season vegetables properly. The peppers, onions, and mushrooms were cooked perfectly, adding real depth to the dish instead of getting lost like they often do elsewhere.

I ordered the Chicken Thai dish — the rice was cooked perfectly, and the vegetables were salted and seasoned before being added, creating incredible balance and flavor. Honestly, it’s the best dish I’ve had in Kingston. Don’t underestimate the Copper Penny — they know what

Friday lunch hour.. service was great. Attentive but.NOT intrusive or excessive. Server was pleasant and professional.. had the crispy chicken Thai wrap with their seasoned fries and it was fantastic! The fries were hot and crisp and the wrap was delicious. We were there for a couple of hours (It was not busy) And we never felt pressured to leave. Haven’t been here in several years. It was nice to revisit an old past.

Got the BBQ beef wrap. As I have for years & years. IT tasted great - but not fantastic as in the past. Definitely 1/2 the amount of roast beef in the wrap.. So they are cheaping out on that. Also - only 1/2 the amount of fries that they used to give! I wont be ordering from there again. Over $20 now as well!

Had the Maple burger and fries - VERY GOOD. Those may have been THE BEST fries I've ever had!

The food and the beer are amazing but the real stars of the show are the fries. OMG! They are amazing.

Cool building! Service was terrible. Our waitress was slow and didn't seem to care about our table and like we were an inconvenience. The other waitress had more tables and seemed more friendly. I got the chipotle chicken sandwich which was good. My husband got a wrap that barely had any chicken in it. Also a little pricy for what you get.

Food quality, speed and quality of service have decreased.

Prices have increased.

Not as good as it used to be!

Genuinely so disappointing. I moved away from Kingston 9 years ago and the Copper Penny was top of my list to visit when I moved back. I really just wanted the fries, and through no fault of their own, they had to switch styles. They were still delicious. However, I ordered a wrap with the fries, I think called a Voodoo chicken, or something along those lines. The first half of the wrap had a single slice of chicken in it, and I figured it was just the way it had dispersed while the cooks put the wrap together. When I got to the second half of the wrap, it also only had one single slice of chicken it in. $20 for a tortilla filled with lettuce and one single slice of chicken. If you're coming to the Copper Penny, I suggest pre-gaming a snack before you arrive. If this is their new normal, you're almost guaranteed to leave hungry and disappointed.

This is a fantastic restaurant with delicious comfort food! You have to try it! A great atmosphere with authentic brick and a great vibe, the staff are super friendly, helpful and efficient! And the food is terrific, with their macaroni being a real specialty! Personally, I loved the club sandwich, and the fries are terrific!
