Cool building! Service was terrible. Our waitress was slow and didn't seem to care about our table and like we were an inconvenience. The other waitress had more tables and seemed more friendly. I got the chipotle chicken sandwich which was good. My husband got a wrap that barely had any chicken in it. Also a little pricy for what you get.
Food quality, speed and quality of service have decreased.
Prices have increased.
Not as good as it used to be!
Great reasonably priced family restaurant
Great restaurant in downtown Kingston.
Food was excellent, service was outstanding, and prices were quite reasonable.
Genuinely so disappointing. I moved away from Kingston 9 years ago and the Copper Penny was top of my list to visit when I moved back. I really just wanted the fries, and through no fault of their own, they had to switch styles. They were still delicious. However, I ordered a wrap with the fries, I think called a Voodoo chicken, or something along those lines. The first half of the wrap had a single slice of chicken in it, and I figured it was just the way it had dispersed while the cooks put the wrap together. When I got to the second half of the wrap, it also only had one single slice of chicken it in. $20 for a tortilla filled with lettuce and one single slice of chicken. If you're coming to the Copper Penny, I suggest pre-gaming a snack before you arrive. If this is their new normal, you're almost guaranteed to leave hungry and disappointed.
This is a fantastic restaurant with delicious comfort food! You have to try it! A great atmosphere with authentic brick and a great vibe, the staff are super friendly, helpful and efficient! And the food is terrific, with their macaroni being a real specialty! Personally, I loved the club sandwich, and the fries are terrific!
Copper Penny is a staple in Kingston. I popped in to have a quick chicken Caesar salad. Loved it, however, when I got the bill was surprised how expensive it was. After taxes and tip walked out paying $34 for a simple salad and coke.
Great place to stop for lunch, I had the French dip and my husband had a spicy crispy chicken burger. Our food arrived super fast (minutes)! It really hit the spot. Staff were really friendly as well. We will come back next time we're in town!

Went for lunch, ordered The French Beef Dip. There was hardly meat on the sandwich . It was $21. My wife ordered a wrap with a soup. The soup was a $3.85 up charge, which is ok, but the waitress did not mention that. My wife would have just had the fries. To top it all off, her wrap was with lunch meat, and it was $21.75. It was really a sub. This caliber of restaurant should not have lunch meat on any of their meals. Very disappointing to say the least.

We came here couple of days ago, in a crazy cold day. The place is amazing! We forgot how cold it was outside - just enjoyed the food and atmosphere ๐น๐น๐น๐น๐น Thank you๐๐๐
I was pretty upset after ordering the burgers. Both burgers ordered are obviously frozen, processed and fake beef patties and no taste at all. I wouldn't mind if the price wasn't so high for something I could cook for $4. Im sure the other food is great but would not recommend a burger, probably the first burger I can't even eat or stomach unfortunately
It's always a good experience and good food whenever I come here.
Nice spot but pretty busy. Good service and pretty great food. The butter chicken bowl was surprisingly delicious and the pierogi poutine was absolutely fantastic.
Everything is good but love their frys!
