Build your appetite and head over to Days on Front for a meal packed with flavour, quality and aesthetic appeal. The menu has changed recently, and includes a nice variety of starters, mains and desserts, but also a couple of possible combinations of a three course fixed meal. All of the dishes look wonderful in terms of colour, layout and positioning. The experience includes ideal textures, and strong flavour combinations that make for a great meal.
As to particular meals - the short ribs are melt-in-your mouth cooked to perfection goodness with a strong wine-based gravy. They are boneless and not fatty - a cut I didn't even know was possible. The leek and potato soup is lovely with a drizzle of chilli oil to add some contrast and a few croutons to vary the texture. The carrot cake desert is rich and sweet with cardamom spice on top of the expected spice array. Bring me more!
This was a great visit. My only regrets are overeating... (semi-regret) and not being able to try more dishes. In time.

It would appear unfortunately that staff here takes items that dont belong to them.

Always a great meal at Days on Front. Tried the Butternut Squash soup this time and it was easily the best soup I've ever had. Can't miss with the short rib or orzo Mac and Cheese.

We had not been in years. The only thing I remembered from being there the only other time was the herbed butter for the bread which they no longer do. Our server was fabulous. Our tenderloin was tough. It was tasty but so tough I couldn’t eat mine. The potatoes were really good and if I could have would have had more potatoes in place of the beef tenderloin. FYI if you are booking and have any mobility issues and can’t sit in bar stool chairs say so because we had no idea and it was the most uncomfortable chairs ever. I have mobility issues and I am super disappointed because when I asked to be changed because I would be in pain to sit in those chairs was refused. I will not be back.

We’ve been here twice, and each time the food has been excellent. Last night (09/26/2025) we had the special and the 3 course fall special.
Perfect flavour, presentation, & portion.
Our server was on point & always had a smile.
We’ll be back!

This was our first time at Days on Front, had been recommended by friends and family. Food was great, especially the appetizers.
Only reason I put service at 3 was because we waited quite a while before anyone came to our table to get drink orders and such, but the owner came over and remedied this himself and the rest of the evening was fantastic.
We will absolutely be back

Great food and service. Knowledgeable and courteous staff. The place was filling up quick and we thought we’d have long waits between courses but everything came out at a good pace and all delicious.

Nice place. Hauteish cuisine at a remarkably fair price. Some things are amazing (short rib! Caeser salad!) and others are meh.

This was our first time at Days on Front. You'd never expect to find such a wonderful restaurant in a strip mall, but there it is. We were the first seating of the night (5pm) so I was quiet. By 6:30 the place really comes alive. Service was excellent. Our waitress has been in the business for over 30 years and knew what she was doing and was very friendly. I had the steak and frites. Steak was excellent (pre-sliced with Chimichurri sauce). I'm not used to a steak covered in something but it was a nice taste. Only letdown was the B52 I ordered which was pretty blah. My wife had the pork tenderloin and she raved about it. Prices were very good for a restaurant of this calibre. We will be back as they have many interesting items on the menu but it is seasonal so things will change.

Days on Front is a successful restaurant, and reservation is highly recommended. As we were leaving (mid week - Wednesday), there was lineup at the doors.
Chicken supreme was bland, dry, overcooked or maybe over-reheated, but it came with fabulous salad. Salad became a hero of the dish.
Overall - reasonable price as for a Kingston restaurant.
