Denny's always does breakfast well. Prices and quality are good and the service is quick. Only gripe for the place is their coffee. It's the only reason I drink tea there instead! :

We got your fish fry plate tonight, both of us as we were wanting fish. We researched 6 other places in Kingston and have tried others. This was the best even better than the fish places and a great deal- more for the money and nicely fresh and hot. Thank you to the cook! Our server was attentive and nice to talk to. We were done and waited a long time for our bill. It wasn't very busy. Finally we just got up and waited at the cashier till they noticed us.

We have been going to this Dennys for years and always loved it. They have new owners...don't waste your time or money. Everything is open concept with no privacy and cheap upgrades. The food quality has suffered big time! The ingredient are not fresh, over cooked and just not the same. Sad we will not be returning.

Before youb goto this dennys you may want to rethink it! I dont know if all dennys are the same now or if it because this one was "taken over by new owners" as per the female manager.Where to start cause this place is catastrophic....so my husband ordered his strawberry shake as per usual, he didn't get the extra in a tin as it's ALWAYS been and as it says on the menu in print....this is when she told us about new owners.....so you are now paying 7.29 for a milkshake half the size (just so you know).My husband's fish and chips come out pretty dark and not looking normal AT all (odd colored grease on the plate) couldn't break it upon hitting it on the plate....then there was my big bird sandwich with 2 thin slices of meat on each half with red running through the meat (looked NOTHING like the picture at all and the bread was so hard and it tasted VERY off (it was shameful)....then there was my sons order that hadn't arrived...we flagged the manager down and told her how horrible it was it wasn't edible....she never apologized just said I'll clear your bill I only have one cook?. K first if all close down your damn kitchen and second of all I saw the microwave being used more than anything! We will NOT be going here EVER again cuz I don't believe this is how this franchise built their name! Oh yes and waitresses don't set the food down for you they hand it to you across the other person's meal!We wound up going to Harvey's for our dinner on Division Street....service was fast friendly and amazing....you'd be better to go there

Was heading back from Ottawa and stopped for breakfast. Service was great and fast and very polite. Also, coffee was great. Would stop again if timing right.

Denny’s is usually a place we enjoy going to for breakfast as a family however this time we were disappointed. The food wasn’t enjoyable. The potatoes were undercooked, bacon serving was skim, and milk curled in my tea. The washrooms were untidy. Not expecting them to be so at that time of the day. I must say though that the staff were friendly and the manager willing to oblige. I hope they take out concerns seriously.

The food was a disappointment. The breakfast was very oily. There was a green spot on the French toast. We've been before and breakfast was decent but not this time.

We were just there tonight march 14. For supper first I just want to say our waitress LORI. WAS a very good server. Food was okay could of been better. There was a table that was there before us and they didn't get food until we were leaving. Not good. They got up at one time and left the waitress went outside and told them there food was coming up. Layed. It was another 15 minute's before it came out. The children at the table crying they were hungryWe offered them some of our food. What horrorably service for them. I watched 3 kitchen staff arguing other who was doing what. Please train your staff for better service. Again our waitress was the best. LORI

I felt bad for my waiter. He was the only waiter and the business clearly needed two servers. I sat at a booth and the table was so far from the seat I had to lean in to eat over the table. No fork with my meal. The napkins were very cheap. Hash browns were cold but the veg omelette was good. There was an ongoing dinging sound from the kitchen and the cook was verbally complaining about, which is fine, but he needed to express himself with f-bombs, which was probably not fine for the family sitting two tables over. Also, the kitchen is set up so that the cooks can look out at you which I thought was kinda weird. It is also advertised as open 24 hours in some areas of the restaurant but it is only open from 7am-9pm. Not the Denny's experience I remember from the 90's - almost $4 for a coffee too.

Wear a sweater, it’s still cold in there even after the renovations. Cooks are awful at anything but eggs and pancakes, don’t get the steak, dreadful. Had my heart set on a T-bone steak and eggs for my birthday dinner but they overcooked the steak and it was their last one, then they brought my a rare sirloin to punish me for sending back the medium well. I just wanted a medium rare steak and eggs. The eggs sat on my plate while they took 15 min to cook the rare one and nothing was edible. Went home hungry and disappointed.

We came in around 4:30 and ordered our food 2 meals were perfect but the t-bone was way overcooked we sent it back to cook another but they were out of T-bone steak so we got a different cut of meat but it was raw just seared on the outside and inside was BLUE!!! had no chance of cooking pure raw meat. The server was so sweet and wonderful. Would go back for the service not the food. Horrible place for a birthday dinner!

Exceptional service by Charlene as always she knows above and beyond. Very poor management/owner presence and support, people waiting to be seated and door dash ringing for 20+mins as servers and support staff are run off their feet!!? Newly renovated poorly done, pictured crooked and booth tables unstable. Gave 5 stars ⭐️ for service alone!
