We went here for lunch today. We were looking for something not burger oriented. The fish and chips were wonderful. The batter is light and crispy, the fish remains the star of the meal without the batter taking over. The tartar sauce was good and plentiful ( and I didn’t have to squeeze it out of a packet). Chips were prefect. Cole slaw was creamy but not too sweet or vinegary. Wife had a fish taco and salad. Taco was so awesome she almost ordered another. The salad was nice, fresh and crispy. Glad we visited and will stop by when in Kingston again.

what an amazing place, a real Gem. the service was so friendly and fast, and informative the servers we talked to were so knowledgeable about the menu and really helped us to order exactly what we wanted. the ceviche was a stand out, so fresh. can't wait to come back

Staff was friendly, the fish and chips and oysters were good but we found the cod to be on the blander side and the poké bowl was a bit one-noted

Had friends visiting from the UK and brought them to Diane’s — it was a perfect choice! They were thoroughly impressed with the fish and chips, which they said held up to anything back home. The ceviche was fresh, bright, and full of flavour — a real standout. Great selection of local microbrews on tap rounded out the meal beautifully. Friendly service, relaxed atmosphere, and quality food make Diane’s a must-visit in Kingston. Highly recommended!

We had lunch there over 7 years ago and decided to have dinner there today. We live in Courtice and visited our friend in Kingston. Staff was amazing. From seating to serving. They had really great suggestions and was attentive. Silas was awesome! Boardwalk was an awesome drink! Next level lobster roll! Portions are great. We were so full we had to walk it off!

Never in my 17 years of living have I ever thrown up as much as I did after eating here. My boyfriend and I went here and had the fiesta fries, blanked cod and the chicken club sandwich. The following evening I felt extremely sick and proceeded to throw up every hour for about 8 hours. My boyfriend after that starting throwing up a lot. A lot. We assumed it was norovirus but nobody in our families contracted it after we became sick. My friend has also seen cockroaches in the building. Food tasted mediocre, sever was nice and the actual building was fine. It was NOT norovirus. My boyfriend and I both interacted with our families while sick and even shared bathrooms with family members while sick, nobody else caught it or even felt remotely sick. They would’ve caught it if it was norovirus.

We dined in tonight for the first time, after wanting to try this place out for a while. We probably won't come back. It wasn't a horrible experience but it wasn't a great one either.

Our server was fine.
Our crab dip arrived cold. They reheated it for us after we mentioned it, so that was nice but they brought our appetizer back, at the same time as our mains arrived.

My partner had the fish and chips which was delicious.
I had the seafood paella as per the server's recommendation. It was OK. It wasn't very hot, the seafood was good but the mussels were not fresh. I ate one and the taste was off. One was completely closed. So I didn't eat the last 2.

It was really cold in the restaurant. We were sitting at a table by the windows, which had 2 electric heaters. Which was nice. But most people in the restaurant had their jackets on or in their laps to keep them warm.

Like I said... It was an OK experience. Most likely won't go back.

I really hate to leave a bad review but this was our second time at Dianne’s and unfortunately both times the food was just not very good. Both of our meals were bland and overcooked and we ended up having to send one entree back to the kitchen and replace it with something else which also was not very good . It’s very overpriced and the food lacks flavour, I think a lot of it is just frozen. The service was good, the staff were very kind and accommodating. There are a lot of good restaurants in Kingston, save your money and time and skip this one.
