Just had a very disappointing experience at Firehouse Subs. The food was, honestly, pretty awful. I ordered a kids' turkey sub and a brisket sub, but they were sloppily thrown together. It was as if someone thought adding a splash of water would be the finishing touch before closing the box. The one bright side? The gentleman who took our order was a delight—polite and friendly. Unfortunately, the team making the sandwiches seemed like they’d rather be anywhere else, and it showed in the food. Safe to say, we won’t be returning. This experience left a bad taste in every sense.
Spent 55.00 on two subs delivered. They arrived 10 minutes after they left the store. The buns were soggy and fell apart trying to eat them. Everything was sloppily put together. We ended up throwing half of them out. Too expensive to have to throw them out.
Honestly love their subs but the last experience was disappointing to say the least. Ordered online and asked for no bun since I’m gluten free. They called to confirm if I had really marked as “no bun” which I though it was odd because they did have the option so I assumed they’d be ready to fulfill it properly, but he asked if they could put it into a bowl and make it a salad, I was not sure what the difference was but said well ok. Thought they would only put the sub filling in a bowl and add a salad to it? No. To my surprise when I get it, they had put all the ingredients of my sub COLD on top of a huge bowl of lettuce, with cucumbers that weren’t even an ingredient on my sub. The meat was full of fat “grains” that would have melted and be delicious if they had heated it up but they didn’t so was so gross. Honestly impossible to eat it. Just think they should make it clear and have a better process for “no bun” or remove that option at all if you can’t do it. If I knew I’d ask for a regular sub and just take out the bun myself.
