I am disappointed with my recent experiences at this restaurant. It appears that the restaurant no longer accommodates solo diners. On one occasion, I visited alone and was told by the server that there were no available tables, despite many being visibly unoccupied.
In addition, the level of service seems to vary depending on the gratuity provided. Guests who leave little or no tip reportedly do not receive side dishes, which creates an unfair and unwelcoming dining experience. Many of the servers are students, but it should not be the customer’s responsibility to subsidize their tuition through pressured tipping practices.
It is also worth noting that a mandatory 15% service charge is applied to groups of 10 or more. Furthermore, if some of the servers are international students, it raises questions about how they met the financial requirements of their study permit, which is intended to ensure that students can support themselves while studying abroad.
Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant due to its discriminatory treatment of guests and questionable service practices.

Pretty authentic korean food here. Wish I had more kim chi they had ran out during thier service. Otherwise I still would like to come back to try thier other dishes.
Wop wop
The best food around. Portions are large and the favour is excellent. Not too spicy. Bibim Bap was amazing. Ramen was delicious. Their house kimchi is to die for. We will be returning every time we are in town. I’d give 10 stars if I could.

RIP OFF!!!! Charged us 55 bucks for the pork bone soup hotpot but comes with very few amount of porks and vegetables. We thought maybe it is the standard portion of this restaurant. Until we see employees are having the same hotpot but like triple amount of food in their hotpot that we know we got ripped off. SO UNFAIR!!!! And also their menu listed 45 bucks but they said they will charge 10 dollars more due to inventory shortage or something. Totally lie!
In addition, the server seems like have some issue of memory. Kept reminding him to get the cup for water and side dishes but he kept forgoting.
Anyways, not a good experience. And please consider it carefully before visiting here.

The price for Budae Jjigae is ridiculous, given the quality and quantity of the dish

I had a very unpleasant experience here.
When I visited this restaurant during my trip to Kingston, the price of the Budae-jjigae (Korean army stew) at checkout was $8 more expensive than the price shown on the menu. There was no notice or explanation about this price difference when I placed my order or when I paid.
When I asked about it after paying, the staff just said they had forgotten to update the menu and apologized. To me, this feels dishonest and unprofessional. On Google, I saw that the price for Gamjatang (pork bone soup) was already updated compared to the menu we saw, but the price for Budae-jjigae was the same — so they clearly knew the prices were different.
To make matters worse, the food didn’t even taste good. While the ingredients were similar to the Budae-jjigae I know, the flavor was completely off. Please don’t think of this as authentic Korean food — it was far from it.
Their attitude of simply saying “we forgot to tell you, sorry” after charging me more money was very upsetting and ruined the start of my trip. I didn’t ask for a refund, but I left feeling like I had been cheated.

I've only ever ordered online, so I cant speak to the atmosphere or service, but the cheese-grilled tteokkbokki is the best I've had!
