I had a terrible late-November experience at Gangnam Style. The most expensive items on the menu such as the Budae Jjigae are half the sized I expected for a meal priced at $40.
I thought the kimchi was quite good but it was also ruined by the poor service where my refill was given to another table. Took over 10 minutes to receive it but I shouldn't have been surprised as it was slow the whole night.

Awful portion sizes and terrible service
Budae jigae is almost $40 dollars, they only put one instant ramen inside and a very few cheap meats and rice cake and instant noodle soup packets, terrible taste
Pork belly plate is over 30 dollars and they only give enough portion for one person, so little that you can lay each piece side by side with space still left on the plate
Complained to manager and he offered no resolution except for saying “Ok”
Not to mention the table was sticky and seating is packed, servers never even once checked in on us while they did for the tables beside us
This is the worst meal i have ever had, and first time leaving a negative review. Good thing I don’t live in Kingston, because I won’t have to come back here for Korean food

What a great restaurant. Wait time was good, staff were polite and the food was absolutely fantastic! I ordered the Don Katsu pork and it was so tender, crunchy and delicious! I definitely recommend trying this place. Best Korean restaurant in Kingston!

The food was good, but they mistyped (?) about our order and we had to wait 45+ minutes before our food came. . . We couldn’t get a discount, but they gave us diet cokes on the house for our troubles.
Food is pretty decent, just pray they don’t forget you.

I am disappointed with my recent experiences at this restaurant. It appears that the restaurant no longer accommodates solo diners. On one occasion, I visited alone and was told by the server that there were no available tables, despite many being visibly unoccupied.
In addition, the level of service seems to vary depending on the gratuity provided. Guests who leave little or no tip reportedly do not receive side dishes, which creates an unfair and unwelcoming dining experience. Many of the servers are students, but it should not be the customer’s responsibility to subsidize their tuition through pressured tipping practices.
It is also worth noting that a mandatory 15% service charge is applied to groups of 10 or more. Furthermore, if some of the servers are international students, it raises questions about how they met the financial requirements of their study permit, which is intended to ensure that students can support themselves while studying abroad.
Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant due to its discriminatory treatment of guests and questionable service practices.
