Some of the freshest sushi I’ve had in town! I usually get the california and dynamite rolls and have never been disappointed. The shrimp tempura is also amazing!
Loved the sushi.

Spicy salmon roll sucks. Horrible quality oily food
GREAT value for the quality. We have ordered take out from Izumo many times and it's always been great. Their bento box meals are fantastic- sashimi, rolls, gyoza, rice and soup for less than $30 per person... yes please!
Even when we order delivery the food is always fresh and the correct temperature. Probably my favourite sushi spot in Kingston.
I don’t understand the negative reviews. It’s a cute, quaint family owned sushi place. You shouldn’t come in here expecting to be blown away by modern commodities and whatnot, but you get a genuine, homey experience with fantastic sushi. They make your orders quick, they’re kind, and I’ve never been disappointed. I recommend the unagi donburi.
I'm so happy I didn't leave a tip.
I ignored the low-star rating as my order was basic. But the star ratings are there for a reason!!
These people need to do Much Better.
It's take out only, but the entry area looks like a broom closet and doesn't give lend to a standard of hygiene.
ORDER:
There was no sauce with my gyoza.
And a simple request I made, which was verbally confirmed as the food was being made, to have my sashimi chopped, was not performed.
Sounds like a minor complaint. But it was the only request I made was that my Sashimi be chopped off and when that's not done then why would I continue to visit a restaurant that simply ignores me and packages the food knowing that the customer won't know until they get home
ONLY chose this restaurant bc my regular places were closed on NY day.
Food is the same price as their competitors, but these ppl are doing less than the bare minimum.
Will never return.
Worst restaurant in town
This is my favourite sushi place in Kingston! The maki deluxe is my favourite combo. I have been coming here since 2020 and enjoy my food every time :)

Negitoro and negihama were made in a uramaki style not a hosomaki style as it traditionally is. Also, the fish was not made of minced fatty tuna, but just cuts of the fish that were very lean. Also, tasted very fishy and not savory / sweet as a negi roll typically does. The rice was a bit hard, couldn't tell if it wasn't cooked properly or was just old.
Absolutely amazing. Ordered through Uber eats
Kingston's most underrated sushi spot. I have been getting their excellent sashimi bento box for years now and it has never changed even a little bit. No shrinkflation here! Just a family owned restaurant committed to their craft.

I have tried all the Japanese restaurants in Kingston. Unfortunately this is one of the worst in terms of food quality. Although izumo might be the cheapest sushi spot in town, I still don’t think it’s worth it.
