I went to get dinner as take out, I noticed they have closed down the restaurant part it looked like that and was disappointed when I got it home , I asked for no sweet and sour sauce( I dont like that sweet and sour sauce at all) and they poured it on all over the chicken balls , and the prices have gone up, so much and also went to pay for it ,I was forced to pay tip unless I did not know how to use that particular debit machine yo not pay the tip which I don't rhi k they deserved it .I will not go there again

The food was mediocre, would have been better if the chicken in the chow mien wasn't covered in a slimy coating. I believe it had to be corn starch mix or something. Egg rolls tasted stale/freezer burnt and were dripping in oil. The chicken balls, although looked a good size only had a dime sized piece of meat in them. This is unfortunate. We were looking for a good chinese restaurant and feels like we're still looking.

After reading the reviews I was hopeful. Hubby and I ordered a combo with general Tao’s (chicken was good. I found the sauce gross) fried rice was good. Chicken balls had very little chicken and the sauce was on the balls so everything was a soggy mess by the time we got home. We got an egg roll and spring roll and both had raw dough on the inside. The egg roll was completely inedible. I know $30 may not be a lot to some ppl but it is to me, and it hurts my heart to waste money. ?

After years of searching and settling for less when it came to Chinese food takeout, we found Jade Garden and couldn’t be happier. Their portions are reasonable and the food is top quality and delicious. Highly recommend!

Used to be a sit down restaurant... Now it's a hole in the wall take out only... Kind of weird place really... Plus you get no napkins with your take out order... One can ask for no monosodium glutamate which is good... It makes one wonder who would want monosodium glutamte in their food...

I’m not sure if they changed ownership or what but it was definitely different that all the other times I’ve ordered from there. Chicken noodle soup, short noodles and a couple of chicken chunks (at least it was real chicken instead of pressed). No spring onions. I’m not sure if the noodles have changed but they didn’t seem like the longer ones I’m used to. Egg Rolls: horrible. Not the usual egg roll wrapper. Tough as though they used layers of spring roll wrapper instead. Didn’t even look like an egg roll looked like an egg roll shaped spring roll. I don’t remember that from before either. Chicken Balls - I thought they came with the sauce on the side so you could add the amount you wanted or save some for later. Honey garlic ribs - just okay. BUT the biggest thing was their packaging. The ribs and chicken balls came in PLASTIC containers - not very environmentally friendly. What happened to the foil & cardboard lid you could put in the oven to keep warm or heat up. Then easily recycle. Yes the new ones can be recycled but oven proof is better. The soup came in plastic containers not the usual styrofoam. Overall I have always loved their food - so that’s why I had a question about change of ownership?? Something has changed and NOT for the better. Too bad as it was always my “go to” Chinese place in the west end. Love for better recommendations now.

They need to take more care when fulfilling orders every single time something is "forgotten", literally Everytime, I'm pretty sure it's done on purpose, food is fantastic

The size of the meal was smaller than my usual take out. The chicken rice was poorly done. Gooey. Could have made better at home. Chicken sooguy was dry . Egg roll was tough and had some kind of spice in it . If you think this is good food, you better check around because it's not even close. Used to go here years ago and it was good but not anymore.sorely disappointed. Money wasted.

Our favorite place for Chinese take-out in Kingston. Fast service (FYI - holiday & event times, they are VERY busy, order well in advance).Good size portions, packaged nicely (no messy bags so far), and great food.(We order Singapore noodles, chicken & veggie chowmain, beef & broccoli (sometimes spring rolls - always very good - I can't comment on other menu items). We did have an issue once (chicken seemed tough compared to previous orders), we called to let them know. Shortly afterwards the manager called us back and offered to replace the dish or let us order something else. We took her up on the offer and the replacement dish we terrific.FYI - The waiting area is sometimes used as a shortage area (no eat in area). First tome I saw it, I was put off. - looked a bit messy. The food more than made up it - delicious.

Girlfriend and I both got a #7 and Lo Mein noodles. Everything tasted like it was made 3 days ago, some of the noodles looked microwaved. The general Tao chicken... some one lost the lid to whatever the sauce was and dumped the remainder of it in our containers...Not worth the experience.
