Had breakfast here for the first time after wanting to for a long while, and it was definitely worth the hype and wait! I was very impressed with the variety of dishes available! There were many things I wanted to try, so I'll definitely be back for more. This time we had the Monte Cristo and Benny and the Jam. Seasonal drink menu was large with lots of options for coffee, tea, and matcha. The homefries have a great flavour! No reservations taken, but even early on a Saturday there was maybe two other tables taken. The booths look large and comfy for groups of 6+.

My bachelorette group and I came here for brunch on Friday, February 6th, and had such a great experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated at a comfortable booth. The drinks were unique and delicious, the food was excellent, and our server was absolutely lovely. She even gave us great recommendations on places to check out around the city. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re visiting!

Erica the owner has been so accommodating with every visit, she has a fantastic group that follow in suit! We hosted a private event with Laylow over the holidays and everything was exactly how was hoped it to be and more! Great prices for booking out the spot!

Friendliest staff, awesome owner, versatile dishes. Super accommodating with babies and toddlers. We always have a great time! Obsessed with their breaky board and strawberry glaze smoothie!

Bad interaction with the owner, felt ripped off
Would recommend! Some of the best food i’ve had, and super fun drinks! My server was really nice too and explained things on the menu for me

They will overcharge you and try to get away with a 20% tip on top of a 18% service fee hidden on the bill. They even include items you did not order on your bill.
This restaurant is basically a scam. Avoid at all cost if you want to keep your money. I went there with my wife last week and they included a service fee, on which they wanted to pay additional tip. They also charged me for a meal I did not order. If you must go eat at Lay Low Cafe, make sure to carefully review the bill before paying. Also, ask for the receipt, which they won't give you by default to mask their scams.

The waiter, a blond lady, tried to double charge tip and added on my bill the meal of another random client. She added a 18% service fee on my bill without telling me ans then the POS asked me if I want to add 20% tip. Only when I asked about what happened, she admitted that tip is already included and that I should skip the tip screen. Also, she asked me if I would pay for another random client and I said no. She said she would bring her the bill directly but still charged me for her. Since she did not give me the receipt, I was not able to get a refund. This restaurant is a trap and what look like a nice lady is literally a scammer and thief. DO NOT EAT THERE!!!!

Recently I treated my girlfriend and her family for brunch. We have NO plans on returning, after our past experience.
Bryanna was our hostess/server. She made it clear she did not want to be there. The drinks were fine. She got the food order wrong, my girlfriend’s family is vegetarian, when we ask “No Meat” it’s typically for a reason. If the place were packed there could’ve been an excuse but it was only us and another couple.
Bryanna do better.

We decided to have breakfast at Lay Low Cafe one Thursday morning, and we’re so glad we did. Shoutout to their Instagram page. Thank you for the awesome pictures and for putting the food in the captions, it really helped us choose what to order. ☺️
We got the Brekkie Board and the Philly Pulled Pork Omelette. Both were delicious, and the potatoes were probably the best breakfast potatoes I’ve tried in a breakfast spot. For drinks, we followed our server’s recommendation, and we’re so happy we did. The Salted Caramel Mocha and Toffee Nut Latte were amazing.
Our server was a very nice and lovely lady, always checking in to make sure we were having a great time. Great service and great food. We’ll definitely be back.
