Matty Boy BBQ was one of the best parts of our wedding! The food was unbelievable. Locally sourced food, smoked and cooked to perfection, and generous portions, what more could you ask for? Vegetarian options- they got em! The presentation of our meal at the buffet/carving station was so unique! It was an experience for us and the guests. Our guests raved about the meal and complimented all aspects of Matty Boy BBQ’s offering. Their professionalism and enthusiasm is unmatched. Matt was flexible and accommodating. The team comes with all the equipment they need and they respect the wedding setup. Thank you for an incredible experience! My husband was passionate about having a delicious meal and he nailed the decision to have our meal from Matty Boy BBQ.

Some of the best food we have ever eaten! We had him cater our wedding and it was AMAZING! We had endless compliments about the food all night. I would get Mat again in a heartbeat if I needed a catered meal, and I will be seaking him out at events/popups when I can!

Matt and his team catered our wedding in August. We cannot say enough good things about the experience. Leading up to the wedding, Matt was so helpful and flexible. He was a pleasure to deal with and was willing to accommodate our specific requests. At the wedding, Matt and his team were friendly and efficient. We opted to have ribs, chicken, pulled pork, pulled jackfruit, and several sides, and everything was absolutely delicious. Our guests would not stop raving about how good it was. I may have seen few people licking their plates... After dinner, Matt and his team were so helpful in regards to clearing tables and cleaning up. The entire experience was 100% positive and we cannot overstate how grateful we are to have had such a lovely team serving such amazing food. Thank you Matt!

Matty Boy BBQ catered a special birthday for our family. They were exceptional. I was initially uncertain about whether to book, and had many questions for Matt, he answered them all with great patience, and efficiently and quickly, and was a true professional. I really enjoyed dealing with him, and felt confident as the date approached. I was not disappointed. Matty Boy BBQ was a HUGE hit with all the guests (of all ages!)We chose Texan classics, and it was absolutely delicious. Each part of the menu was excellent in its own right. My favourites were the brisket, unforgettable, and the ranchero pinto beans, the ultimate comfort food, smoky and delicious!Matt and Brian adapted to work in the relatively small space available, since the weather was not good enough to be outside. They quietly got on with it, and created a lovely set up, that just added to the warm, relaxed, fun atmosphere we were going for. They answered questions from the guests, with knowledge and evident passion for their craft. They were a joy to deal with all round.An absolutely unforgettable experience having Matty Boy BBQ cater for us, that made our party a once-in-a-lifetime, thoroughly joyful event. Please do yourself a favour and book Matty Boy BBQ, your belly and your guests will be thankful beyond measure!

Holy Smokes!!! Dropped into #Daft Brewing for #MattyBoyBBQ. Was not disappointed, had Brisket, Pulled Pork, and thier amazing Texas Style Beef Sausage, with potato-salad (best i have ever had...pickles who would'vethought!) And the buttermilk coleslaw again, couldn't stop eating it... This food coma was achieved by the artfully hours and attention of this pit crew. Keep an eye out for thier pop up or have the cater, you won't regret.

I went here with my dear friend Gordon T and didn't enjoy the food. The owner wasn't nice and said he would report us to Mr.Howe.

Matty Boy catered our wedding. He was amazing to work with and words can’t describe how delicious the food was. We got the Texas BBQ package and We have heard nothing but amazing things from our guests about how tender and flavourful the meat was. We have absolutely no complaints at all - we would definitely go with Matty Boy again! While serving our guest Matt was very careful to give each guest the perfect cut of meat! He is very independent with set up and clean up - no interruptions to our wedding at all and he made is completely stress free! Matty Boy and his team deserve more than 5 stars!!

My wife and I hired Matt and his team to cater our wedding and they did a fantastic job. The food was delicious and all the guests gave us really great feed back during and after the wedding, Saying" best BBQ and wedding food I ever had". All the items like, ribs, brisket, and turkey breast were perfectly moist and tasty. Scheduling, payments, and communication was easy with Matty Boy BBQ which goes a long way when planning a big event. The prices were reasonable as well. We were so happy to have chosen Matty Boy BBQ for our wedding. We had just over 100 guests at an out door wedding and they handled this crowd with no issues. We are thinking to order their food again at our next family BBQ at the farm!

If booking for catering, would highly recommend doing it with a short time frame in mind. We booked Matt for our 2022 wedding back in 2020, with 90 days to go he left us scrambling… all while having a pop up at Daft the day after our wedding. Great food - do not book for catering.

Matty Boy barbecue deserves more than a 5 star rating. Excellent brisket, turkey and sides. The food is truly an experience. Matty and his staff were friendly and very professional.

6 stars. Google needs to add a 6th star exclusively for Matty Boy BBQ.Hands down, the best ribs I have ever eaten.I truly hope Matt makes it big. I've been searching for perfect bbq ribs all my life and have finally found them. I was in awe eating these.The brisket, beans, picked onions, potato salad, and slaw were all exceptional as well, but the ribs... man oh man those ribs...Great job!No sauce? I couldn't believe the amount of flavour and tenderness I was enjoying without the aid of a rib sauce. That is talent. Top notch quality.I look forward to enjoying your food again.
