This is an excellent spot for Indian food! I had the butter chicken with rice, and if you've never had the chicken lollipops, they're an absolute must-try--don't miss out! If you get the chance, I highly recommend trying their buffet as well!

Food was good, service was completely lost. Waited about an hour, forgot my drink and naan bread. Any requests or orders had to be done yourself, not even water was being taken care of.

We arrived at 7 with a reservation and didn't get our food until after 8. Multiple items we ordered never came and the food was decent but not enough to make up for how understaffed they were.

They should have turned people away given the lack of staff. Some of our items got delivered to another table but put on our bill. The server broke a glass on our table and just left it there, never cleaned it up.

Quite honestly the worst experience I've had to date at any restaurant. I've never been inspired to write a bad review but this was beyond comprehension.

The dinner buffet was a great value. Foods are cooked mild, which is great for my children but may not be spicy enough for you.

Read on Reddit today that a customer got food poisoning from your restaurant. Won't see me there to eat .

3 years ago this was my review:
Good value for price, very flavourful. Naan bread was soft, the butter chicken was savoury not sweet, which I really liked. Nothing bad to say about food, probably one of the best in town. I only gave 4 stars because I unfortunately am not able to rate customer service as it's not eat in right now and I ordered through skip the dishes.

Now: 2 weeks ago my husband and I went to dine in for the buffet for our wedding anniversary, it was a Friday night, I made a reservation for 5pm (when they opened). We got there a bit before 5pm and at like 5:05 the waitress came to open the door and told us they didn't open until 530pm. I looked on Google and it did say they open at 5pm and said I made a reservation just that afternoon. She let us in and said they didn't have a cook, and that we could wait inside (there were other people arriving around the same time). We asked to see the drink menu and said we would have a beverage while we waited. She said okay and brought the menu. By 5:40pm we ended up ordering our drinks from someone else that was working there, we still didn't get our drinks until almost 6pm.... food still hadn't come out yet, and looked like they were scrambling to get the cooks on?? She said that the cook was stuck in traffic... so, only 1 cook on for a Friday night?? We didn't get to eat food until about 6pm.

Everything took so long to get. Service was terrible, the buffet wasn't getting refilled, I asked to order a different dessert than the galub jamun that was on the buffet, they said no. I went up to get galub jamun since that was all they said I could have and it hadnt been placed out. This was around 645 at this point and we had arrived for 5pm. We, and I overheard other tables, had to keep stopping the servers for stuff like Naan bread, because no one was coming around to check on anything. Didn't even get asked if we wanted another drink.

There was no discount offered, no free drink offered. If I was the manager, I would have given a free beverage for having to wait so long for food.

I would not recommend anyone to visit this restaurant. I have never had so bad food in my entire lifetime! I don't know how to cook, but I still assure you I can make food better than them 😕 today. I planned to go have some Indian food! Once I entered the restaurant, I was asked if i would like to have a buffet. I thought to give it a shot! They literally had no options for starters! They had this onion bhaji, but it's a snack! I should tell them a difference between starters and a snack! Literally had no Panner Sabzi, I have been to multiple buffets, but I have never seen that happening. I had no clue about the naan(bread) until i had to go myself and ask the saff about it, in which i got a reply that it would be served on your table on order! I think i should have been informed this first or bothered to let me know on my table. Overall, the taste of items was thumbs down! If you are really hungry, craving for real indian food, this is not the place.
I have a lot to say because I spend on something worthless!
For sure, I'm not visiting ever again in my life.

Vegetarian options: Even if they have it, don't try!

We arrived just when they opened at 5 pm. Food was not hot probably due to water in pots heated by candles was not hot enough. Flavour was good but food was barely warm. They need steam tables. It would allow flavours to excel. Rule for food - hot food Hot cold food COLD. But what do I know? If all was hot it could have been a much better review!

Food was good, good portions, but not timely. Staff were very friendly. No music on, so everyone’s conversations around us were distracting.

We have seen their commercial on tv and decided to give them a visit
We decided to get the buffet dinner and it was a complete disappointment some labels were in the wrong spot. The tandoori chicken was not anything like tandoori chicken; it was just fried chicken wings with some kind of bread coating. There was no any appetizer, or papadam and no any beef dishes.
The temperature in the restaurant was kind of warm the door was open and I don’t think the AC was running. There were flies and fruit flies where we were sitting and the chair and the carpet did not look clean.
I asked for water with my meal, it was just at room temperature, served right from tap.
Sorry but we will not be going back to this restaurant.

I’ve always heard good things about Namaste Kingston, but unfortunately, my recent visit left me disappointed. While the food was satisfactory, the service was another story. The owner’s son, who was handling customer interactions, was incredibly rude and lacked basic customer service skills. His demeanor was unprofessional and did not reflect well on the restaurant.

It’s a shame because this behavior detracts from the hard work that’s clearly been put into building the restaurant’s reputation. I hope the management addresses this issue soon to ensure the quality of service matches the quality of their food and ambience.

Namaste was the first restaurant I went to upon moving to Kingston two years ago. I have brought numerous people there - all of whom loved it!

Unfortunately, when going on Saturday, September 28th, the experience was less than ideal. Although the food from the buffet was still flavourful, it was cold. Additionally, tables were left dirty (dirty plates and tablecloths), there were not additional plates (if you wanted to go up for seconds), our naan order was forgotten, and our glasses of water were not refilled. Though I don't know the full story, the restaurant was not busy at all.

Hoping it was a one off as it has been one of my favourite restaurants in the city.
