Wow! I just tried to make arrangements to order for a group as I'd done last year (about $250 worth). The man who answered the phone was super ignorant. I understood he couldn't accommodate what I was asking (an 11 AM delivery - even tho they'd done it before) but he was extremely condescending and brusque. Like the food but won't ever be ordering from there again.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE AND RUDE!!
Wanted to order some take out for my family this evening and called a few times as I knew they were open but figured they were just busy. I try to support the small, family run businesses and when the guy finally answered he was annoyed, short and SUPER IGNORANT!!!. I couldn’t believe it! Take your money and go elsewhere, not the way you’re supposed to treat customers. Called another well known Chinese restaurant and they were busy and still took my order and super friendly and food was fantastic! Didn’t make us feel like a nuisance and inconvenience.

I was really looking forward to trying this Chinese restaurant, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The first thing that struck me was the breaded meats. When you order dishes that feature them, it seems like 98% of the meal is just breading, which completely overpowers the actual meat. It's frustrating to have so much crust and so little substance. In addition the spring rolls are also nothing but 100% cabbage.

Additionally, I was taken aback by the dining experience. The ambiance made me expect a comfortable meal, but it quickly became clear that eating in the restaurant wasn't an option. The food itself was lacking in sauce, leaving many of the dishes feeling dry and unappetizing. I was also surprised by the lack of flavor—everything tasted very bland, as if the chef forgot to add any seasoning or spices at all.

Overall, I left feeling unsatisfied and let down. I had hoped for a flavorful meal that would introduce me to a range of vibrant tastes, but instead, I found an experience that fell flat on multiple levels. I won’t be returning any time soon.

They compensate for their unflavoured food by giving you bigger portions. Bigger portions don’t make it worth this flavourless low quality food. I’ve tried new garden in the past but didn’t like it. Wong’s is my go to. They were on holidays so I thought I’d give this place a try. Not worth it. They are also only open when they feel like it. Most inconsistent hours for a business I’ve ever seen. If you want good quality Chinese food go to Wong’s on Weller. Won’t be disappointed there! Don’t bother with new garden.

Traditional menu, as found in every Chinese restaurant in town.
Food is okay, just nothing special about it.

Tried ordering from this establishment, was quoted a higher price that didn’t match online prices. The individual was extremely disrespectful therefore cancelled order. Very disappointed in behaviour.

excellent! I have not eaten here in many years, decided it would make a nice valentine dinner. we were not disappointed. it was not only great tasting there was so much food. the vegetables we fresh cut up large and huge pieces of meat. so impressed especially now a days when portions have gotten small and cost more. highly recommend
