One of the best Italian meals I've experienced, better than some DOP designated restaurants; the service was excellent, the Gnocchi with beef cheek ragu was heavenly and the bartender was more of a spirits sommelier the way she mixed drinks. Amazing overall experience!

Fabulous way to end our tour of Queens and visit to Kingston. The restaurant was intimate & warm. The service was friendly & quick as we only had a short time to have lunch. We overlooked a farmers market in the square beside the restaurant which was picturesque. Lunch was delicious. The starter home made bread with balsamic & oil was delightful. Fresh, warm, soft ~ melt in your mouth. I enjoyed the fig, pine nut chicken salad and my daughter had the chicken sandwich. We both enjoyed them very much & the ambiance. It was the perfect finishing touch to a beautiful day in Kingston.

TLDR: I’ve been here several times over the past 10 years for dinner and always enjoyed my meal. Went for lunch recently to celebrate a friend’s birthday, was not impressed and will think twice before returning.
Party of four. A friend made the reservation for a birthday celebration. Three of us ordered the Olivea burger, one with fries and two with soup, and I forget what the fourth person ordered. Two burgers arrived, but the third did not. We had to let the server know one was missing. They apologized and said it would be out in about five minutes; it was closer to ten. When it finally arrived, we were told a discount would be applied. However, a $3 discount on a $24 burger and soup combo didn’t feel like much of a gesture given the delay, but since I wasn’t the one who made the reservation, I didn’t want to make a fuss.
As for the food, the burger was extremely well done and dry. The soup was tasty, as were the bread with oil and balsamic vinegar. In fact, the bread and the panelle were the highlights of the meal.
And I have to echo another reviewer, our birthday guest received a small cup of whipped cream with a candle in it. It’s nice that they acknowledge birthdays, but it did feel a bit underwhelming.

Was out for dinner with friends. I had the pasta special which I found too salty for my taste.
We went in to check out the menu and were on our way out because my allergies didn't work with any of the main dishes. Jaslynn approached and immediately got out a binder of the recipes to show how many options I had for nightshade allergies and gluten. They could accommodate my needs!! We had a beautiful meal to celebrate our 36th anniversary. Appetizer, salad and main dishes were delicious. Olivea was our server and she was wonderful. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

In recent months I have started getting takeout for myself and my wife, who is strictly homebound for medical reasons, and, while we love the food, the service options in this area are so inconsistent that we have decided to no longer patronize the establishment. On multiple occasions they've forgotten to pack items we ordered, twice they've forgotten bottles of wine, and whether they will provide the bread that accompanies the food we've ordered is a 50/50 proposition at best. They offer a takeout form on their website but it is inoperable about half the time.
Last night we received some of the worst service I've ever experienced in this regard. I called early on the day to see if takeout would be available, given the holiday and wondering whether they might be too busy, and I was told it would be fine to place an order in advance for 7:30pm. I called back twenty minutes later and the second person we spoke to said the exact opposite until they went to check with the kitchen to confirm we could. Upon arriving at 7:25pm to collect the order I was told it wasn't ready yet and I was asked to come back later, meaning I had to leave the restaurant and wait outside. After returning ten minutes later my order was ready and once again the bottle of wine was forgotten. After this I was then charged $50 more than I should have been, which I confirmed upon returning home. If you don't want to provide a takeout option, then don't, that's fine, but you should have some baseline service standards in place if you do. We won't be returning.
