We just left PJ Murphy’s in Kingston where we were craving their potato Natchos. Unfortunately, I will never get natchos there again. The natchos were border line burnt and full of grease. My plate had grease on it from the Natchos. We were Finally ask how our food was, after we were almost done and the ONLY reason we eat them was because we were starving and no one ask early on how our food was! I told the older gentleman waiter that we were disappointed because they were nothing like we had there before, and showed him the burnt food full of grease to which he said Ok and walked away! We were charged full price for burnt, greasy natchos, no apology, nothing. I know where we Won’t be going back, even for a beer. Terrible customer service.

The menu needs to be rethought, and the food needs to be seasoned. Great people, great service, bit the theme is pointless without good, Irish-themed food, especially with such a small menu.

We loved their patio and our food was amazing! We ordered today’s special; a club sandwich with fries. Both were delicious! Definitely recommended!!! We also used a high chair and it was impressively clean and well maintained. We look forward to visit Kingston and this restaurant again!

It was St Patrick's Day weekend on a Friday. We didn't have reservations for anywhere downtown Kingston for dinner and getting a table sooner than 2-3 hours later was proving to be very difficult. While we were wandering we found PJ Murphy's! It's a pub style restaurant with a bar on one side and tables and booths throughout. There are well situated TVs closer to the bar and they were showing the hockey games at the time. It was a cooler day and we had to wait a bit before being seated which was fine because they have a real fireplace right by the doors for you to warm up. They were able to seat our party with some rearranging of tables. The host that led us to our seats warned us that it was a busy night and apologized in advance for the service being slow. It was nice of him to do so but it was actually quite reasonable! Their menu featured many Irish themed dishes. I don't think it was just for St Patty's Day so you get to enjoy it anytime. The Irish stew sounded pretty irresistible and it was! It came plated very stylishly, more than I would have expected for a pub! The stew was very hearty with LOTS of meat and carrots, potatoes, and onions cooked to perfection. There was also a large puff pastry that was served on the side. This was seasoned generously and a wonderful accompaniment. I thought it was pretty unique addition. My boyfriend ordered the Shepherd's Pie. This was another modern plated dish. The pie filling could be seen quite well as there was only a swirl of potatoes in the middle, kind of like whipped cream on a dessert which was not exactly as expected. It was also a much smaller portion than my entree so he wound up eating some of mine. The service really wasn't bad at all! Drinks and food were received in a timely manner and we were offered refills too. When it came time to pay for the cheque, they were willing to let us each pay separate which was no small feat for a table of 7 and was much appreciated by us.

Great house made burgers, bacon jam was particularly tasty. Good beer selection. Our friendly and attentive server suggested the cheesecake and it was amazing! Would like to try more menu items.

We stopped for lunch and a drink on a Saturday afternoon. What a delightful find! I had the bacon jam and fried brie burger, husband had the Full Monty...both were delicious...but the fries!! Just like chip truck fries!! It was our anniversary so we shared the Biscoff cheesecake which I would definitely have again. To top our great visit off was the waitress, Rhiannon!! Perfect service from this wonderful young lady!!

I highly recommend this restaurant!! The staff were all so accommodating, on a very busy Sunday afternoon!! We had 5 different entrees and they were all terrific, kudos to the kitchen staff. If you like cold beer, good food and great service, this place is for you!
