We tried the Back Yard or Patio this evening. As usual, the food was great. Staff were pleasant. The only issue I had was they don't serve coffee after 6 pm. As a non-drinker, I found this odd. The server advised me that the coffee that I was served was actually not for customers but the owners. That the management was watching and she wasn't going to put a pot on. It's a cooler evening, I didn't want a soft drink and the water served had no ice and not cold. At least have a Keurig machine for those of us that drink coffee during any kind of weather and time of day. Meals were great
Treat you like royalty, good food and efficient at moving people through without rushing you. Highly recommended.

Renaissance brunch … food was barely warm at the buffet. The only thing got was the coffee.
We can to a juvenile festival event that advertises food. And when we arrived we’re told the restaurant decided they ( the festival) didn't resell enough tickets so they will not be providing food. This is unacceptable for my 4 person table that expected to enjoy dinner and a show. Not just Alex and … nothing! Not even offing a charcuterie option for the table. I’m so disappointed. I was very excited to come to an event in this venue and had tickets for what was advertised.
Not impressed that the venue didn’t provide anything for the patrons to purchase.

UPDATE.....
I received a reply from the owner who shared their generic disappointment that we didn't enjoy our experience. They shared they wished they would of known about it at the time to better assist us and then wished us a Happy New Year...that's it???
That is a "COP OUT " statement.
I have worked in the customer service industry for over 30 years and this reply lacks sincerity and genuineness, it's unacceptable!
Remember, the staff was unattentive, we were practically trapped where we were seated, not to mention they also added 3 more people to our table.
So, you CAN'T assist now or better yet, since you have our money, you DONT have to!
This just SOLIDIFIES why we will not be returning to this venue and will share our experience with others.
DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE!!!!
It is sad that I have to write this review as this is one of the most stunning venues in Kingston.
Our 1st experience at Mardi Gras New Years event a few years ago was outstandingly amazing, food, atmosphere and service...spot on.
However, this time it was HORRIBLE!!
Our server who came out of retirement to assist with the venue should of stayed home. He was not helpful at all and spent most of the time spinning in circles. I don't believe this was any fault of his own as the place was over crowed and poorly organized. I believe the poor fella was overwhelmed.
The way it was set up, was very inconvenient for all guests to navigate to the bar, get around all the tables or to even to get to the washroom. The bar was barricaded by dining tables in front of it and the whole length of the bar.
The food was COLD and mediocre. We had the Prime Rib and our girls had the Lamb and Salmon.
Oh, the best yet... complementary champagne was DISQUSTING, tasted like a $4 dollar bottle of crap. I cant believe we a paid for this. We PAID about $120 each so for 4 of us well over $400.
We sat facing the wall with all the beauty of the venue behind us. Are you serious, this is pathetic.
WE WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS VENUE!!!
You have spoiled it for us, too bad. We looked forward to it and it was beyond DISAPPOINTING!!!
If you were decent in any way you would give us a REFUND, but I am not holding my breath.
P.S.
There were "NO" New Years decorations, NONE! NO hats, spinners, noise makers, streamers at all!! Seriously...its NEW YEARS 2025!!
Sadly, after dinner "NOT" a single server came by to see us, we were completely FORGOTTEN...WOW and at over a $100 a head...we should NEVER be forgotten!!!!!!!

We were there for 5pm service for the prix fixe Christmas dinner and it was wonderful. The service was spectacular, the salad and mains were excellent. The only oddity was the trifle and we admit to being confused by the sprinkles. Atmosphere was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Horrible!!!! We PAID over $400 and they placed us in a corner facing a wall. Not just any wall, the one at the end of the venue and essentially right by the band. We were practically trapped at our table with cold mediocre food, crap tasting complimentary sparkling wine and poor service so was so much so they forgot about us after dinner. How could we request assistance if no one is coming by!! Poorly organized and not a single New Years Eve decoration...seriously and at over $100 a plate?? RIDICULOUS! I sent a reply to the owner Paul Fournier, that went on deaf ears! His generic message was lacking sincerity and genuineness. They are lacking in customer service and they just proved they don't care about their customers. This just solidifies why we won't EVER be back and will continue to share our experience with others.
We came with friends for the Christmas dinner specials. The place is so well decorated, it was beautiful. The food was excellent, craft beers on tap, great service. It was a wonderful evening.

I am not sure how I never knew of this place! First, thank you for offering Thanksgiving dinner on the Friday. I was in town until Saturday morning so it was nice to go out with family and celebrate. Second, the food was amazing. From the soup (OMG) to the salad to the buffet to the desserts. I honestly have no complaints about the food. The service was outstanding! We were greeted with a smile, and taken to our seats, where the server immediately introduced himself and took our drink order. The staff were all well-groomed and professional. Finally, the atmosphere is one of sophistication and elegance. I highly recommend it for a special night out or, if you want, to treat yourself to a great meal. The only issue I have is that parking is limited so be prepared to park down the street a bit. It was not a big deal. Give this establishment a try.

We just had our wedding here and it was absolutely wonderful! The staff was great, the venue was beautiful and our guests had the best time! They figured everything out when I was stressed, and they continued to show their excellence during the reception. I will continue to recommend this venue for any brides looking for their perfect spot! Paul and Dennis were great, their staff handled everything with grace and adapted on the fly! Thank you Renaissance for making our day SO perfect.
