We tried the Back Yard or Patio this evening. As usual, the food was great. Staff were pleasant. The only issue I had was they don't serve coffee after 6 pm. As a non-drinker, I found this odd. The server advised me that the coffee that I was served was actually not for customers but the owners. That the management was watching and she wasn't going to put a pot on. We were there for 5pm service for the prix fixe Christmas dinner and it was wonderful. The service was spectacular, the salad and mains were excellent. The only oddity was the trifle and we admit to being confused by the sprinkles. Atmosphere was fantastic. Highly recommend.
The bartender I am thinking of was a young local, not what you're talking about. Young male with light curly hair, iir.
