Great menu and service

This was the second time I have held an event (12-14 people) at the River Mill. I cannot say enough about the high level of service and high quality of food. On both occasions, people raved about their meals and Anthony led the team of servers who all gave impeccable service. It will be my choice in the future not only for work events but also family celebrations. Thank you for making our celebration memorable. See you again soon!

I was incredibly disappointed as one meal was missing ingredients and we only found out once it was served, and my margarita was severely over salted. It is a beautiful restaurant with amazing views, my server was fabulous and the food was definitely top quality; however, I was again very disappointed that the one dish only had meat and no fixings that were mentioned under the description. When you spend nearly $200 for a special occasion dinner, you just expect to receive what you have ordered, or an accommodation if there is missing menu items. Our starter, the scallops were the highlight of the evening. The chef is incredibly talented.

The food was mediocre. They substituted pasta for soba noodles. One person at our table was served her lamb alone on a plate and the risotto came 10 minutes later. Ten people at our table, no one else in the restaurant, so I don’t believe the food quality or food not arriving together at the table was due to a rush in the kitchen. We definitely will not return. Unfortunate.

We just attended a venue at the River Mill and everything was on point. It was a small gathering of 15 people and the service was spectacular, the food was delish, and the desserts were excellent. I had the beet salad, the steak was tender and cooked to perfection, and the creme brulee was exquisite. I will add that am a foodie and a bit of a critic when it comes to dining out but I'm extremely pleased to say this spot exceeded all of my expectations. Super job all and keep up the great work! A special thanks to Tyler for his professionalism and outstanding service!! If you've not been there, it's well worth the visit. The ambience and location are both great too!

This was the first outing we had with one of our family members being in a wheelchair. We were met at the front door by Anthony, our server for the evening. He made sure we were comfortable at our table with the chair. He was pleasant, kind and thoughtful. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and the food. He explained the dishes well and made great suggestions. We greatly enjoyed our evening and would highly recommend both the restaurant, and our wonderful server.

Great food, really good service. A bit on the pricey side but definitely worth it. Perfect amount of volume, easy parking, right near the water to go for a little stroll after dinner and just far enough away from the busy downtown area.

We returned to the Rivermill to celebrate a birthday with family.Unfortunately our fish meals (sea bass and arctic char) were not good. The arctic char had been frozen or perhaps just overcooked? It was served on a bed of cold unremarkable quinoa. The sea bass was served on a bed of strongly flavoured couscous “stew” that masked the delicate flavour of the fish. Not a suitable combination. We will not return to the Rivermill as we have been there a number of times with mixed results. It’s an expensive venue with inconsistent meals.

Lovely to sit by the water and have a mealand/or drink. Wendy our server was so great, everything you want from a server (friendly, attentive, thoughtful, gracious). The food was excellent, particularly the steak frites with sweet potatoe fries!, as well as the mussels in red sauce. Will be there again for sure. Thank you!

We came here for our wedding anniversary and started with a small antipasti platter, which was a joy for the eye and palate. Our (lunch) mains were a Wagyu medium rare beef burger and a Chicken bacon ranch salad; which were perfect. Afterwards we shared a carrot cake.Wait staff were friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. Definitely will return.

We celebrated the marriage between our Son and Daughter-in-law at The RiverMill Restaurant. What a fantastic day we had. The food was delicious, our guests repeatedly mentioned the quality of the meal and I can’t say enough about the staff. They were so lovely and made the venue so much more personal by their friendly and gracious attitudes. Thank you so much. Colin was great to liaise with before and during the wedding. They coordinated with our Wedding Planner Heather at Bowtied with Love seamlessly. Colin was so accommodating, letting us make changes to the menu and providing the chairs for the ceremony held by the River. The most wonderful thing was that the venue felt like home rather than an impersonal wedding venue.

We were very disappointed we ordered two filet mignons one medium and one medium rare. I received two medium steaks when I asked the waitress does this look like medium rare she said the kitchen made a mistake would you like another steak and I said well then my wife will be eating her steak by herself unless you make two new steaks she rolled her eyes at me and said we could offer you free desserts I reluctantly agreed as I did not want to make a scene and they didn't seem too interested and replacing both meals when the bill came the waitress comps me for only one dessert and one coffee I mentioned you charged me for a desert she says yes the mistake was only made on your part not hers I was shocked as I paid $44 for each plus tax plus 20% tip so it cost me over $120 for two steaks and the waitress seems to think a $10.00 dessert and one free coffee is it going to make up for $120 not one manager came to me to ask if everything was okay the table next to us of 10 was Extremely Loud I felt like I was in a Downtown Bar not in a fine dining restaurant atmosphere.
