Been going here for 6 years now and the taste and quality has not changed one bit! You can get two balanced meals out of every dish (even the soups) but you will want your own. I recommend the bamboo curries (red is good for some spice, green for extreme spice), panang curry, and hot and sour bamboo soup.

Been going to Royal Angkor for over 10 years. Consistently great food with wonderful sauces. I especially recommend the Siam Delight which is sweet and an interesting umami flavour. The Golden chicken is great for those who like space and a punch of curry flavour. The red curry chicken is sweet and has a gritty sauce which I enjoy. The portion sizes have gone down slightly over the years while the prices have gone up. This has happened across the entire industry though.Nice, hard-working staff. This place is takeout only.Parking: Street parking.

Thank you so much Vath (owner and head chef) and Savan (his son, also chef), and Isaac (who took my order). The food is absolutely phenomenal as is the customer service!! I am vegetarian and the red bamboo vegetable curry and tofu spring rolls are some of the best I’ve ever had! Thank you for being so warm and thoughtful towards your customers such as myself. It’s been Vath’s life dream to open his own restaurant and he’s worked incredibly hard to get to where he is today — I will be sure to keep supporting your business and I encourage everyone to come here! You must try this place out!!

I was looking for a really good Pad Thai with a little spice instead of the usual sweet sauce. A friend suggested Royal Angkor and I'm so glad she did. The server that took my order was very helpful when I explained what I had at another restaurant. She let me know that all the sauce is made to order and suggested I could make it a bit more spicy and it was perfect. I also tried the coconut chicken soup and it was very nice. I loved the nice burst of lemony freshness it packed. Their prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes were a good size. I'll be going back to try out some different items that caught my eye when I was browsing their menu online.

We have take out from this restaurant at least once every time we visit Kingston. Then we argue over which dish tasted the best.

The panang shrimp curry is the best thai food I have had on god's green earth and in my top three favourite meals of all time (next to full thanksgiving turkey dinner and potentially khao soi). I came back to Kingston for the first time in six years with my husband and we vowed to order this food. It did not disappoint, after six years it was everything I dreamed and more. I have tried ordering thai but (outside of exactly two expectionally excellent khao soi dishes I have had in Toronto) I knew it wouldnt be as good, it never is. Once again, Royal Angkor has transported me to an ethereal culinary heaven, thank you and god bless.

Driving from Ottawa to Kingston looking for good food to enjoy and found Royal Angkor. I'm Southeast Asian and can confirm that the food here is authentic and 10 out of 10! The 1 chilli level spiciness is not spicy at all, but that's relative to each person's spicy level. We ordered the House Pad Thai and Siam Delight! Super yummy! We really found a gem!
