I come here every few weeks just for the doubles! So cheap, delicious, and the staff is very friendly.

This is a gem in Kingston. You can go from the town's best vegetarian snack a curried double for only 3.50$ all the way to my personal favorite a curried goat platter. You'll never find the staff without a smile and you'll share it when the smell and taste of the food hits your lips. This is the best lunch stop downtown by the water if you're in a hurry, doubles all the way.

I sure am pleased to have given Sally's a try! I've had pretty bad luck with restaurants in Kingston, so finding this was very exciting!
I had the beef curry roti and the portion is quite large - easily two meals. The meat is slow cooked and falls apart, so there aren't any tough or chewy bits, and it's just spicy enough to add a nice flavour but not overpowering.
The couple that run it have been quite lovely to interact with and are really friendly.
So if you're motivated by what a stranger on the internet thinks, you should absolutely eat here!

The roti wasn't that good. Chunks of chicken with little flavour. A lot of Garam Masala which didn't make it very enjoyable. The customer service by the lady was awful. It felt like she was paying me to eat there. Do not waste your time here in Kingston.

Tried the lamb curry and it was incredibly good. If you're in the idea and in the mood for some great food, this is the place.

I was really excited to go here but the woman working there was exceptionally rude off-bat both times I went. When I asked how spicy it was, she looked at me in annoyance and didn’t reply. When the machine wasn’t working, she physically threw it on the counter in front of me and said “read it” then left. When I moved seats because I disliked my table, she went to that table and said I must push in the chair (no other customers in store) - I can understand that but it was said unnecessarily rudely. Her attitude was mean the whole time. I felt I was walking on eggshells there and it ruined the experience despite enjoying the food. I noticed her demeanour would switch depending on the customer and she’d be nice to some but horrible to others (like myself). The man is friendly but the woman is extremely rude.

We stopped at Sally's on the drive back to Montreal from Toronto. If you're looking for delicious food, don't mess around, just go here. The owners, Sally and Bob, we're super friendly and made us feel like we were longtime customers, even though it was our first time. I has the shrimp roti; the shell was nice and thin, the shrimp were perfectly cooked and the curry was super flavourful. My partner had the chicken curry plate, which was just as delicious with big pieces of tender and juicy chicken. We also had doubles, which was melt in your mouth. Wash it all down with an Angostura Chill or a Tsing, and you will not be disappointed. We can't wait to come back!!!
Vegetarian options: They have an eggplant and spinach roti which I didn't not have, but I'm SURE is delicious.

We’re always delighted by the delicious roti and doubles from Sally’s!! The doubles are vegan (and absolutely incredible!) and several of the rotis are vegans as well. We’ve tried the squash, spinach and chickpea rotis - all are great, it just depends on what flavours and textures you’re craving. They can adapt spice level based on preferences. The owners are super warm and welcoming and are knowledgeable about vegan options (they seem to make everything in-house/from scratch so know ingredients well). Bright and cheery interior with fun music. Overall, it’s consistently a great experience!
