The food was a bit on the salty side, and the potatoes tasted like they’d been sitting around for a while. They also don’t ask what sauce you’d like — instead they just pile on several different ones, which can be a bit much. That said, the portions are generous and the prices are fair, so you definitely won’t leave hungry. Just make sure to bring some water with you!

Absolutely delicious shawarma! I visited Shawarma El Mina today after hearing great things, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The chicken shawarma was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and wrapped in soft, warm pita. The garlic sauce was rich but not overpowering — seriously addictive!
The staff were friendly and quick, even though the place was busy. Prices were fair for the portion sizes, and the food came out hot and fresh.
Highly recommend this place if you're craving authentic Middle Eastern food. I’ll definitely be back.

Finally a middle eastern restaurant in Kingston that makes my Mediterranean taste buds smile. As a person of Mediterranean origin I can be quite picky with cultural dishes. My family really enjoys the chicken shawarma and our teens devour it every time. Very fresh healthy and excellent portions for a reasonable price. Keep up the great work!

We were driving back from Montreal to Toronto and drove out of our way to try this place since it had good reviews. My girlfriend had the chicken shawarma plate and said it was good, but I had the beef plate and it gave me terrible food poisoning all week.
The beef looks like luncheon meat which is a bit of a turn off and something must have not been sanitary. Anyways the staff were friendly and I hope this did not happen to anyone else but I thought that I might die it was really bad.
