The food was a bit on the salty side, and the potatoes tasted like they’d been sitting around for a while. They also don’t ask what sauce you’d like — instead they just pile on several different ones, which can be a bit much. That said, the portions are generous and the prices are fair, so you definitely won’t leave hungry. Just make sure to bring some water with you!

I visited Shawarma El Mina today after hearing great things, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The chicken shawarma was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and wrapped in soft, warm pita. The garlic sauce was rich but not overpowering — seriously addictive!
The staff were friendly and quick, even though the place was busy. Prices were fair for the portion sizes, and the food came out hot and fresh.
