I am not an expert on Indian cuisine but I have ordered here several times and food has always been great with quick ready times. Service at cash has been friendly. Prices are good considering rice or bread are included in each dish.
I have had the vindaloo, madras, Dansak and Bhoona all were very good.

Ordered take out as an alternative to Bombay Velvet. This Taj does not stack up in any way. Minute rice, store bought naan, and curry with little flavour and sauce. Ordered Aloo Gobi.
The price and quantity of food was appealing, but will not visit again.

The food was nothing short of amazing. Each dish was bursting with authentic flavors and spices, clearly made with care and expertise. The menu offered a wonderful variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, and everything we tried was fresh and delicious. The staff were attentive, friendly and were able to help us choose the perfect dishes for what we were looking for.

Went here on a referal from a friend. I will be back many times. The chef was so pleasant and kind while we waited in the delicious aroma filled restaurant for our dish. I ordered rhe masala, spicy and it was absolutely perfect. Not to hot to make you unable to eat it but that perfect kick People say its expensive, I paid $22.00 and got three meals out of one portion, thats extremely reasonable and the food was of the upmost delicious quality. I’ve been coming here for years. The food is authentic and the best in Kingston. I’ve tried quite a few restaurants. Very well maintained facilities, great family owned and operated. 1 of the only 2 restaurants I like to eat at. Butter chicken recipe hasn’t changed since I’ve been going & it’s perfect, creamy, flavorful, & rich. Just writing this reviews makes me wish they were open. 10 out of 10
Great food and service i ordered and it was ready in 15 minutes. Had a short conversation with the cook very friendly. Excellent spot right in the heart of downtown kingston i will be going back.
