Food is OK-ish - a bit salty and oily for my taste.
A little on the pricey side. But service and food was fantastic.
It's a gourmet experience.
Olivia was amazing! Food was great and served with care!
Fantastic spot to share many flavourful dishes. Each one is unique and it's obvious they use very fresh ingredients.
I honestly can't recommend a specific item to order as we've been a couple times, ordered different things and loved it all.
Great restaurant for people whp enjoy quality food.
Great Food, service and atmosphere. Loved the Nachos & eggplant dish.
Absolutely love this place! It’s such a unique dining experience in Kingston, and it’s worth every penny. I’ve been here three times so far, and each visit left me satisfied and happy.
The atmosphere is romantic and cozy, with dim lighting and unique decor. The staff is wonderful—accommodating, friendly, and always making us feel welcome.
The restaurant focuses on a tapas-style dining experience, where you get to try a variety of small dishes over the course of a meal. The experience can easily last 2 to 3 hours, as they bring out the food gradually. This allows you to savor each dish, enjoy different flavors, and have relaxed conversations without feeling rushed.
They sometimes offer halal options, depending on their meat suppliers. Since their menu changes frequently, it’s best to ask your server which dishes are halal that day. They also have a great variety of vegetarian-friendly options, so there’s something for everyone. I’ve tried different dishes here, and my favorites so far have been the lamb tacos and eggplant dishes—though everything I’ve had has been fantastic.
If you’re planning to share dishes (which is the whole concept of this place), here’s what we ordered to give you an idea of portion sizes:
For two people, we ordered three dishes and a dessert, which was more than enough. Another time, we had just three dishes and left feeling very full.
When I came with two friends (three people total), we ordered five dishes and were perfectly satisfied.
I highly recommend this place! I don’t easily give five-star reviews to restaurants, but this one absolutely deserves it.
Vegetarian options: Lots of options and neatly displayed on menu all together
Dietary restrictions: Can have halal options, ask server when you're there.
Kid-friendliness: Probably not.. though one time there was a very well behaved toddler next to us who was having a good time without disturbing other patrons
Wheelchair accessibility: No, the bathroom is downstairs and i didn't see any elevators

Tango Nuevo is hands down one of my favorite spots in Kingston! 🤍The tapas are incredible—everything we had was beautifully plated and full of flavor. We enjoyed the scallops, Turkish ravioli, AAA striploin with chimichurri, patatas bravas, a mushroom dish, and a chicken dish, and every bite was amazing.
The atmosphere is romantic, cozy, and perfect for a fine dining experience. The service was wonderful, and the complimentary Prosecco at the table was such a lovely touch. I always love coming here—the food, ambiance, and experience are consistently perfect. No complaints, just an absolute must-visit in Kingston!👌

Excellent experience last night at Tango, in downtown Kingston. Cozy, stonewall atmosphere, great services, lively staff and unique flavours from the 4 plates my wife and I shared.

Have been here many times! One of my favourite places in Kingston. The food is outstanding, lovely servers and amazing drinks. The private dining area feels like you are eating in a medieval dungeon or wine cellar. It's a very cool experience! I will be trying their sister restaurant, "Le Jardin". I hope it is as good as Tango. Highly recommended. One of the best in Kingston!

Disappointed immensely. What could be nice is loud, muddled by slow service, and drowned in terrible cocktails.

Buyer Beware!
On January 15th my wife and I went to Tango Nuevo on King Street in Kingston to avail of a gift certificate given to us as a Christmas gift. We tried to get ahead of the menu perusal by looking into the online menu as we had previously experienced that the combination of poor lighting and small font make reading the in-house menu difficult. We ordered the four-item charcuterie and three other single items which were all quite tasty.
When it came time to pay the bill we informed the server that we had a gift card. He took the card and went to get the bill. On returning, he told us that the total was around $85 and we could take the remainder of the $200 card in wine to go which was odd as we had not had any drinks or wine with our meal. We had also assumed we would simply get a credit of $115 for another visit as is common practice everywhere with gift cards.
Our server stated that these gift cards had to be used up in a single sitting and then followed up by saying there was no way for him to “put that through their system”. He suggested that we pay the $85 bill and come back with a few friends to use up the gift card another time. Being a senior aged non-drinking couple, there was no hope that we could use up a $200 gift card in one visit even in view of the overtly pretentious pricing at the restaurant. The needless argument over gift cards and procedure totally ruined the evening that we had been looking forward to.
We checked online later to see if there was any warning of this moronic policy regarding gift cards and did see it. That, however, is a moot point as by nature gift cards are “given” and the recipient would not even think to look into such things as this. This is the first time in our lives we have encountered such a ridiculous policy for gift cards. We have given and received many many gift cards over the years and all would accommodate users who were not going to be using up the entirety in one sitting or purchase.
