The owner, Troy, consistently goes above and beyond for guests of his restaurant. He made sure my mother in law, in a party of 10, had power for her oxygen machine and checked in on us more than a few times to make sure we were all good. Excellent service on top of the hospitality and delicious, well priced food as well. Always stop into the Duchess of your passing by. You won’t be disappointed.
Every time we come to Kingston from New England we stop here because of the good food and service. Today was a little different. My husband’s meal was good, too much to finish. I got the fish “chowder “. Maybe my expectations were off but it was awful. It was watery with a few tiny pieces of fish, no potatoes or anything else. And it didn’t taste good at all. I guess I expected a creamier chowder with chunks of fish and potatoes. This was not in the same family. After...
Stopped in for lunch, this is a great little spot and the food was fantastic, good value for money. Hubby was thrilled to find they have Guinness on draught at a really reasonable price.
