The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Kingston

Bar side is definitely the place to sit. A lot more lively and enjoyable area. Food and drink are always fantastic.

I enjoyed a relaxing and delicious dinner at this Keg. Our server was very friendly and experienced and made suggestions that were complimentary to our palate. The meal itself was delicious. My steak was cooked perfectly and the accompaniments were delicious. I ordered a Caesar salad to start and a peppercorn NY with a garlic mash and mixed veggies for my main. We were there to celebrate my birthday and I was offered a Billy Miner pie for dessert. I asked if I could have the cheesecake instead and our server assured me there would be no problem. (The cheesecake was fantastic and a perfect treat to end the meal)

We arrived and only waited a few minutes to be seated. staff looked after us very well. The service was exemplary . my wife ordered he steak well done but it was not, our server Trevor upon walking up to our table to see if everything was prepared properly saw my wife's steak was not as ordered and before she could even say anything, he said "that is not correct !". He immediately removed her plate and went back to the kitchen , a few minutes later when Trevor returned the chef was with him delivering the new plate. They waited while she checked it and were apologetic to the error. The chef returned a few minutes later to say our drinks were covered , lastly it was a celebration for her birthday they came with an incredibly tasty slice of ice cream cake of generous portion and a sparkler. We were so impressed ( actually flabbergasted) with the attention to our dinner details. I can honestly say I don't ever remember so many staff at any other restaurant so invested in making certain our experience was incredible. You want truly awesome service go to the Keg Kingston. Oh and ask for Trevor ; )

It breaks my heart to say this, but I feel like the Kingston Keg has gone down in quality of food and service the last three times we have been there. We ordered our meals and the server was lovely, but my husband never received his appetizer. The server didn't appear again for quite a while and the manager actually brought us our meals. At that point we canceled the appetizer. Both of our meals should have come with the mushrooms and and fried onions, but neither of our meals had it. The bread was not hot like usual, but barely above room temperature, so the butter did not melt into the bread and the bread started to harden. I went to the washroom and noticed meals sitting on the stainless steel shelf waiting to be served and when I came back out of the washroom some of the meals were still sitting there. The manager did take a discount off of our meal, but we really just wanted what we ordered. We did receive a free piece of Billy Miner pie, as we were celebrating our anniversary, which was very nice. The couple behind us were also celebrating their anniversary and we could hear them talking to the server and manager about issues with their meals. They were also apologetic. Through our past few experiences, and with talking with others we know that go to this location, it appears there are some regular issues including with complying with things like celiac requirements, etc. We love The Keg and I hope that this is just a season of some order and service issues and that they will be back up to their usual standards soon.

Laid back environment. Good management and great staff. You can't go wrong with the blackened chicken. Wife enjoyed the top sirloin steak. Very busy restaurant! I've seen food service take up to an hour. Just more time to enjoy cocktails. Large selection of booze. Tv's to enjoy sports! Downtown, so you can walk off dinner and enjoy the views.

The steak was to die for! I am a fairly picky eater as my family would testify to, and I was so pleased with my meal. The baked potato was large and nicely finished and the green beans were excellent. But the steak with the whiskey peppercorn sauce was phenomenal!!! My friend had the ribs and he was equally thrilled with his meal. I look forward to another visit when possible. The waitress was awesome also! Thank you so much!!@ Noreen Sullivan, Westport, On

Great food and service. Wish it was a bit quieter, and they shouldn't use sparklers for their birthday desserts. They smell like chemicals and burning plastic. Not great when you're trying to eat a filet mignon!

Our dinner was absolutely outstanding! Our steak and seafood were cooked to perfection! The vegetables were also perfectly cooked and complemented the meat beautifully. The service was absolutely wonderful from the moment we stepped in the door until the moment we left. The ambiance was perfect and exactly what we were looking for during a kid free night. Thank you for making our date night and my 40th birthday so memorable! The icing on the cake was definitely the cake that didn't have icing. That was the best cake I have ever eaten! Thank you for the entire experience!

Our server dropped the ball a few times on simple things, we weren't seen until 10 minutes after sitting down, and it took another server noticing no one had been by. Our drinks came after we were done our meal. Food was good as usual.
