Service was quick, food of good and well presented, as The Keg in Kingston is popular reservation are must for the a lot of the times.
Service was good, food was outstanding. Disappointed the waiter didn't recognize two birthdays being celebrated that were noted at time of reservation, and at seating.
it was quiet at first but got a bit loud when it got busy. it was my sister's 30th birthday and my friend's 1st time in the restaurant. we had an amazing time like always. it is worth every penny. food was delicious. service was superb(thanks trevor!) loved the ambience and the outside view coz we got window seats! it was awesome!
For the price of the meal, the food was kind of meh The prices have gone up about $10 a meal since about 2 years ago
Had a great experience at The Keg Kingston. The staff were super friendly, service was smooth, and everything felt well taken care of. Definitely a spot I’d go back to and recommend to others.

Big thank you to our waiter and server Connor/Conner (sp?). He was excellent! Not only was he funny and polite, but also attentive and helpful. He made the specials sound like once in a lifetime gourmet opportunities and his description of the steaks was unrivaled. He suggested great pairs for appetizers and drinks to compliment and match our dinner choices. Finally, Connor's provision of a complimentary desert for our celebration was an outstanding end to our special evening.
Half of our party partook in the Summer Lobsterfest and enjoyed Atlantic and Norwegian Lobster. The other half had steaks (because why else would you come to the Keg!?!? =). All the meals were excellent. Big chunks of lobster and freshly grilled vegetables were great and the steaks were done to perfection.
Due to the layout in the basement, it is on the darker side with limited natural light. Unfortunately, this also means it is louder than would usually be expected. While I appreciate that they probably do not want to change the historic walls, the ceilings could certainly use some sound dampening. It starts to get difficult hearing someone not adjacent once the restaurant fills up.
Noise aside, the Keg Kingston is otherwise an outstanding choice for a steak - enjoy!

Our group of seven had a wonderful dinner at The Keg this week and we all left smiling. From the moment we arrived, our server Romeo made us feel welcome. He was attentive, friendly, and quick to accommodate every request, which made a big difference for a larger table like ours. Several of us tried the August lobster specials, which were fresh and beautifully prepared, while others ordered the Classic Prime Rib dinners that The Keg is known for. The prime rib was as tender and flavorful as ever, a reminder of why it has become such a reliable favorite. We were also celebrating a birthday, which gave us the perfect excuse to enjoy dessert. The Billy Miner Pie was such a hit that we had to order a second one for the table. It was the perfect way to end a lovely evening. Thank you, Romeo, for taking such great care of us and making the night feel special.
Despite having some mixed reviews we decided to try The Keg and went into our experience with some optimism while also knowing it might not go well. We had hands down one of my best experiences dining out here on 8/23/2025. We had reservations for a table of 4 at 7pm. We were sat immediately (side note the hostess was dressed a little inappropriately for this level of dining in my opinion. She had on a VERY short dress and was tugging it down every time we saw her. There was at one point that her underwear was visible. Just not a good look but hey to each their own). After we were sat we were immediately greeted by our waiter (wish I could recall his name to give him proper accolades). He was helpful in making decisions and identifying the pros and cons to each option. I have a shellfish allergy and he was right on top of it and made sure each staff who came to our table was discreetly aware of my allergy, I never felt put on the spot or made to feel like there was a “fuss” because of my allergy. Our waiter kept our meal appropriately paced between courses allowing time to enjoy our meal without feel rushed or conversely sitting there waiting on something. The food….the food was spectacular. Hands down some of the best food our whole table has eaten. I had the filet ordered medium rare and that’s exactly how it arrived. There was another steak ordered at our table which was done right, the vegetarian pot pie I was told was delicious and the Mac and cheese was some of the best my husband has had. Our meal lasted 2 hrs and without a doubt we will be back. Well done The Keg, well done!

General all around a nice environment but the service I got tonight was horrible and everything took forever i just ordered water and the drinks came not to far before our meals i got steak asked for medium rare pretty sure my whole plate is blood. The service wasn’t the best I feel maybe they prioritize other people before certain people which is disregarding and unprofessional. Will I come here again
Probably not! Definitely not !

I am writing to share my recent dining experience at your location. While I understand that we did not have a reservation, I was somewhat disappointed with the initial greeting we received. The phrase “What can I do for you folks?” felt rather uninviting, which set a less-than-ideal tone for our visit.
next time welcome me this way 😃👉👉please & thank you 🙏
(Good Evening,
Welcome! May I kindly ask under what name your reservation is booked?)
We had been stuck on Highway 401 and decided to indulge in a nice steak dinner. Our intention was to enjoy the five-star service you are known for, similar to what we usually experience at your Montreal location.
I believe it would be beneficial for the owner to consider training the front staff to enhance the welcoming atmosphere that guests expect when entering a dining establishment.
Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback. I hope to see improvements during my next visit.
We decided to make a reservation in our home town Keg Pointe Claire 260km away .

Our meal was absolutely delicious. The server we had was Sarah and she was by far the best waitress we have ever had. Very attentive and so friendly. She asked if we were celebrating anything and we had our 39th anniversary. She gave us a complimentary desert, which was delicious. It was a wonderful evening
Seated right away with a reservation, prompt service when we sat down. We got bread after a short wait, waited for a while for our dinner. We were delivered our main course, with out sides it was supposed to come with (butter and utensils for lobster). We had to stop someone to ask them for these things and ask that he send our waiter back. Again, another wait. Our waiter showed up, we also mentioned our prim rib was not medium rare it was rare (not a big deal but not what we ordered) and we were also missing sides. By the time we received everything dinner was cold. For a $200 dinner, I’d expect a little more.

This is one of our favorite places. Not just the outstanding service and food quality but the attention to details. Tables, menu placement are perfect and all angled and pointing same direction. Glasses and cutlery, always professional. Faith( with the curly hair) was fabulous. Big smile, recommendations, explaining features. Staying on our needs professionally but not intrusive. Always start with the Lobster Bisque, Prime rib and Blue Cheese filet is my wifes favorite. Hat's off to the kitchen. Awsome taste and presentation. Thank you Faith for the cheese cake to go in celebration of our 44th anniversary. Keep on smiling and making your clients feel welcome.
