The fish & chips was probably the best I've had in a long time. Batter was light & fluffy with no grease. Service was very fast and the food was fresh off the stove hot not heat lamp hot. Would definitely go back if I'm in the area.
My friend and i stopped in for lunch today and were disappointed. We had the lunch special Haddock and Fries. The fish was perfectly cooked and hot, but the fries which we had upgraded to poutine were lukewarm and some not cooked through and the gravy tasted too much like oxo. Ive had better gravy from the food truck downtown near KGH. We asked if the fries could be reheated but they were really no better. Hands down the best fish in Kingston .their cod offers up large portions and is always perfectly flaky. Their fries are also good, just not the best in town, hence why I left them out of my first comment.
I’ve been coming here for years, and never once set foot inside the actual restaurant/pub portion. They have a perfect setup with take-out having their own entrance making it quick and easy. The staff is always super friendly.
