Location is 5*, coziness is great, music is great. But the service is disgusting - rude bartender, server throwing menu at you like a bowl of dog food for you. Makes you feel unwelcomed. Shame, since the environment gives good classic pub vibes.

This bar has racist bouncers. Stopped by with some friends last night, and the tall white bouncer with blue jeans and a black puffer wouldn’t let us in because it was “full.” We saw a good number of people leave, but he still didn’t let us in. After he let in a group of white girls behind us and we asked why we could then go in, he said because they were “regulars” and he “didn’t know us.” Racist bouncer. Wouldn’t recommend. 👎🏽

Myself and my husband and my daughter went for a birthday dinner last night. First this grumpy waitress came up to our table and threw down the coasters at each one of us. My husband asked Ericka what was on tap she proceeded to say it's on the menu, my husband replied he had forgotten his glasses, The waitress shrugged her soldiers and did not tell us what was on tap. Next we ordered too beers, she forgot one , and finally came back with the forgotten beer, a good 10 minutes if not more later. As we waited for our dinner which took an unusually long time, which we were not too bothered about as it was a birthday dinner the waitress left us with empty beer glasses as we had asked for more rounds. She was standing at the bar , and not paying attention to her tables. We waited another 10 ,15 minutes for another round of beer, and again she only came back with one of the requested beers not too. Finally the food came, and my poor husband on his birthday was handed cold wings. He had to get up and go to the bar as Erica was just standing at the bar again. We said we are sorry but the wings are really cold. She begrudgingly took them back to the kitchen. When she came back she said the kitchen said you get what you get the wings are supposed to be cold as they have sauce on. And she was arguing with us. The wings came back black as she said the kitchen had just put the remaining wings back into the fryer . The wings were literally black, awful. I asked the waitress to take the wings off our bill as they were unedible. She argued and gave us attitude the whole time. Next when we ordered another round of beer, she came back with one beer short again, we waited for her to come back, but she chose to stand at the bar instead. When she came back I said to Ericka , this is the worse service I have ever had, you have been terrible. She immediately answered, the feeling is mutual. I was so mortified by this waitress attitude and bullying attitude I talked to the floor manager. He apologised and said she shouldn't of said that. We were so upset that I called back at 7pm that night to talk to the manager, who gave the typical responses. We opologise. We pride ourselves for having good food and service. Our evening was absolutely ruined by the waitress, I have never in my 30 years of being in the restaurant business met such a horrible unprofessional waitress , she was truly a nightmare. If you get her I would personally request another waitress. My husband who wanted to go to the toucan to see if it would be a good restaurant to have for a massive Christmas party, for his staff. Was completely horrified by the waitresses rude, unprofessional, bullying behaviour. We will not be going back to the Toucan until the turnover of staff changes and the waitress is no longer there.

Mac and cheese baked pasta is so good. Looks like recipe is changed. Earlier gravy used to be thin now it’s good after baking.

This bar was so disrespectful and negligent to logic. They refused service and had the biggest superiority complex when it came from the bouncer to the bartenders to the manager. It’s a bummer because there was amazing live music and I was neglected right from the beginning from the manager. She wouldn’t serve us as we were going downstairs with her logic being “your going downstairs so get a drink there,” in a hostile tone. I do not recommend coming here. This establishment has so much potential but they are busts putting their egos in from of them.
