I never leave reviews. Went in for the first time with a friend on December 23, 2025. Ordered: tacos, gyoza, two drinks. Both of us felt sick in the stomach later on in the evening. Skeptical on the food quality here but everything else is normal.

Cute little Irish pub, went here for an anniversary dinner date. Our waitress was Cleo and she was very attentive and kind. Friendly service, great atmosphere, and awesome food n drinks :)

Service (with Mike) and beer is always amazing! Super bummed to find out the pretzels and beer cheese was seasonal, and then found out they took Blarney Chips off the menu. Need to bring back the unique options to separate from all the generic chains!

Went there for drinks and live music and that's exactly what we got! Cozy pub vibes with a great cover band had everyone dancing in their seats. It was hard to the bartenders' attention on a few occasions even though the bar wasn't overly busy. It was an overall good experience.

My daughter and I stopped by for a dinner and a pint before the Blue Rodeo Concert. Our server, Mike was fantastic. Very personable and attentive. He clearly enjoys his job and it shows. Thank you Mike for a great dinner. The pub cheeseburger was great.
Even gave us a discount as my daughter is in the military.

The food was delicious, especially the French onion soup, the atmosphere was so warm and inviting, especially on a rainy day and the service was great. Highly recommend!

Visit Sunday November 9, 2025 shortly after opening. Very popular Pub in downtown Kingston adjacent to the Town Hall and co-located with the Prince George Hotel. Great authentic Irish vibe. Great food, great beverages, great staff. Busy during the evenings.

Came in for a drink before heading home for the evening and got snubbed by the shorter bartender working the right side of the establishment.

Came in sat and waited and did not even get acknowledged. He was so engrossed in his conversation he didn't even say he'd be right with us. I get it was close to closing time (50mins) but if he didn't want to serve us he should have just said so instead of letting us sit there unattended before we decided to leave.

This place has really lost its charm over the past five years. It used to be one of the best spots in Kingston, but sadly, that’s no longer the case. The Tir Nan Og was once a warm and welcoming place — now it feels cold, impersonal, and pretentious.

I’ve given it several chances, hoping things might improve, but every visit ends in disappointment. The only thing that still stands out is the beautiful historic building and the memories of how great it once was.

Unfortunately, the men’s restroom smells strongly of urine — so much so that the odor carries into the hallway.

As a gay man, I used to feel comfortable and accepted here, but that sense of belonging has disappeared. What was once an inclusive and lively space now feels hollow. The staff come across as inflated with ego and disinterest, treating customers as an inconvenience rather than guests. It’s no surprise the place is often nearly empty.

I can only hope that one day this establishment changes ownership and regains the warmth, hospitality, and charm it once had.

We were walking the waterfront and decided to eat lunch here. We shared the Octoberfest German braised meatball appetizer and the Guinness Steak and Mushroom Pie. We had martinis (we had to have them remake the first one as they made it with pickle juice) and hard cider. The Waitress had a NY city attitude but took good care of us.
