The one man band was amazing and the reason we stayed. The place was busy with a few tables available but not packed. The service was not existent. My buddy and I had to go up to the bar to get our drinks. Waitress was more into recording the singer than assisting customers. The gentleman behind bar and cashier was just standing there. Not sure what he does. The food was pretty good. Our bill arrived and she had drinks on there that we didn't order. She corrected the bill only for us to leave and see she also charged us for 2 beers that we already paid for when we went to bar. Those 2 beers we had cost us $34.Due to the lack of service and being way overcharged, I would not recommend this place to out of towners. This may be a scam as most people were locals.

Was here on a Friday night, arriving at 930pm. Ordered a small nachos, supposed to come with a side of guacamole, salsa and sour cream. Nachos arrived to the table an hour later, with none of the sides. When I asked about them she promptly brought out salsa, sour cream and coleslaw. Never got the guac. My boyfriend ordered wings and a salad, his wings arrived to the table 10 minutes later and the wings were cold. We were not impressed.

Service was great, I had the beef stroganoff which was delicious but fish and chips wasn't that great. I think the oil needs to be changed.

If you’re ever in Kirkland Lake, ON. for any reason, be sure to stop in the The Fed Tavern! We went there for an early dinner before the KL Gold Miners vs Timmins Rock game. Took our fair share of ribbing at the door because of our Rock attire and my Oilers hat but once we were seated it was amazing! Cold beer, delicious food in generous portions and the staff was exemplary!

The only reason I have rated only 4 stars is because, as part of a group of about 15 all of whom had pre-ordered our dinners, mine did not arrive. We had one server looking after us in a private room and she worked hard and fast, always pleasant. When I advised her that I had been forgotten, she apologized profusely and immediately placed my order which was for a strip loin steak dinner. Unfortunately, by the time my dinner arrived, everyone else was finished theirs so, feeling awkward about being the only one eating and the time now after 8 pm, I did not want to eat this heavy meal. I had it boxed and took it home for dinner the next night. My 4 star rating comes from this hard working server and the quality of the meals (even 1 day old, mine was delicious) .Had the management offered to do something to make this monumental screw-up better, I would have given it the extra star it otherwise deserved. I wish I had remembered the servers name as she was great.

The fed catered the Alamos work party, it was a prime rib and stuffed chicken dinner with various sides. My chicken was raw ( I did get another piece but it was suspicious especially knowing since it’s catered it is all cooked together in large batches), and when I asked what it was stuffed with, they told me it was just Lemmon rosemary chicken. Upon arriving to the table it was stuffed with something beige but that was the least of the problems with that. The prime rib was, I would say blue rare which is definitely not for everyone especially for 200+ people. When I got to the vegtables portion I got like two pieces of carrots and a Brussels sprout. I asked for a bit more vegtables, he looked at me picked up two more carrots with the spoon and put it on my plate. The sides were all freezing cold, especially the mashed potatoes, but at least the gravy was good. For dessert was an array of cheese cakes and cakes. I took a cake similar looking cake to their sticky toffee pudding cake they serve in the restaurant. It was apparent after smelling it, it was a gingerbread cake perhaps. After taking a bite, it was sweet until the spice hit me. Lord have mercy on my soul, I do have a good spice toleranceBut that cake tasted like they dumped either a club size amount of ginger and cinnamon in it or even perhaps cayenne pepper. I’m not sure if that was on purpose but, it definitely was not to my preference.I’m not sure how much the mine paid for that but it was waaaaaay too much.

Very busy Friday night. Our server made us feel very welcome and was more than accommodating when we expressed that we were in a bit of a rush and need a part of the order to go. Food was amazing! Price was on point. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Will be back again soon!

Service was weak. Not very friendly staff. Their food quality was below what might be expected for the price paid. There is a much better restaurant in town.
