We picked up two turkey sandwich specials and one berry salad special. The food quality was excellent and the portion sizes were generous. Thank you for the great meal.

It’s a fine dining restaurant in KL. They chance their fix menu weekly which is three course meal. Definitely recommended! But, make sure you have reservation though.

Four of us finally made our 75min trek to The Dish in Kirkland Lake. We enjoyed our meals and experience immensely! The Prix Fixe menu of three courses offered four choices each in the Appetizer, Entree and Dessert categories. It was priced at a reasonable $50 each.Running a high calibre restaurant in a small Northern community isn't easy. From supply chain to the fickle nature of guests, it's clear the husband and wife duo who run this show have put alot of thought into managing costs while creating an interesting and still diverse menu. Ingredients were repeated across the menu while still allowing for variety in the finished dishes. I can appreciate how this enables better cost management and less waste on the business side of the restaurant. The presentation was exceptional, every dish we tried was amazing and the service was stellar! We also appreciated the well curated wine list and the vibrant collection of displayed art.I can't wait to go back:)

Parking: I believe there were about 6 spots but street parking was also convenient.

Had an amazing experience at The Dish - our service was intuitive and pleasant, the atmosphere is sophisticated and pleasing. Much gratitude to Chef for the amazing meal. I have dined at many high end restaurants over the years but this has been the best meal I've ever had. Truly a hidden gem.

From the outside it seems very modest. The interior is soberly and tastefully decorated. The presentation of the plates is amazing. It’s the wow effect with every dish you receive. Having worked with great restaurants like the Ritz Carlton in Montreal, Lacroix at Rittenhouse in Philadelphia and Gordon Ramsay in Atlantic City, the cuisine offered in this Kirkland Lake restaurant is of the same caliber as those mentioned previously.

Food is so awesome that it's hard not to give it a 5 star but the atmosphere does not match the delicious food experience. Miss the previous location for the atmosphere. But easy fix with a darker paint color . Will still be back !

Quaint little resto in the mining town. Coming from MTL, a foodie's paradise, this place can somewhat compete in the fine dining space. My appetizer and dessert were the best, while my striploin was rather pedestrian. It took more than 30 minutes to arrive, and unfortunately it came cold. The server promptly put in a second order, which was appreciated. The beef was cooked well to a medium-rare. I could have done without the the jar and dip for the fries, which made it more cumbersome to eat.The dessert was a bailey-coffee cheesecake, which I've never had before, and it was good. It came with granola and something akin to a Crunchie bar.To up their game, they should always bring the bottle of wine to show the customer. Even by the glass.3.5/5.
