I tried the pupusas, chicken empanadas, birria tacos and tamales. Everything was delicious.
I discovered this place at the Waterloo Region Tacofest! I came back for seconds and thirds! It was delicious. So I knew I had to go hunting for them in the wild and they are now my go-to place for tacos.
So yum!!
Driest Pupusas ever! No cheese anywhere to be found or taste. I gave this place multiple tries before writing this review to be fair over the past year and to see if it was just the cook of the day, who didn't know cheese is the main filling of pupusas and Nothing-. Dry no cheese. I dare you get them and break them apart see if there is a string of cheese anywhere. Even the just cheese ones have so little of it, you're practically just eating a tortilla. Don't waste your money, buy your Pupusas anywhere else at this point.
I love to eat pupusas all kinds, but $4.50 each is really ripped
Delicious tacos de birria, delicious empanadas, and my favorite were the churros! Brought back childhood memories of fresh churros at saturday markets 😊

Truly a hidden gem in Kitchener-Waterloo
I made my first Visit to America Latina Grocery and Eatery looking for some authentic soft corn tortillas and found an amazing store with everything a foodie wants including friendly service and a charming little restaurant to sample some incredible food. Will be back!

We love this place at work. We go often for our lunch. My girlfriend always gets the pupusas and I get the Guatemalan Tamale and we both get the fried plantain. So very good. You must try this place.
The birria tacos here are hands down the best I’ve ever had – absolutely delicious! The staff are super friendly, and the place is spotless. Highly recommend!
