I came once during the pandemic and even once after when there was construction taking place causing loss of access to the building, it seemed to be suffering and I made a note to come back when things had calmed down.

I came in today and was really surprised, with the big chains of stores like Tim Hortons down the street, we expect not to have a greeting of welcome when we come in, but a smaller place like this it is nice and I expect it. I felt ignored by the sole person who didn't have any coffee ready. I decided to wander while a waited and browse and while I did others were served before me who arrived after me. There was no designated place to wait in line so I quickly found myself at the back of the line. By the time I got to the front the coffee was still not made. I had to have been there 10 minutes, I can make coffee at home in less time with a French press.

Everything in the store was over priced from stickers to spaghetti, the coffee/tea was no different and the taste wasn't amazing. I expected good qaulity for the price; next time I'll go to Starbucks for the price the drinks there are better and larger cups. Want cheaper go to Tim Hortons, they at least smile when you make eye contact.

Not a single staff member seemed to want to be there, the boy at the front looked tired and uninterested, the woman making the drinks seemed to have a chip on her shoulder and there was some random woman at the back just standing there and even seemingly doing nothing, she seemed tired and uninterested. Made me feel grumpy

It looks like a niche spot; it's too bad the drink wasn't good and the service could use some TLC.

Dietary restrictions: Oatmilk was available.

When I’m due for a treat, I head over to Aura La for a scone or a kouignaman! I might not have spelled it right but you really have to experience them!

I used to go there to buy one desert, a koign-amann. Considered by some as the best desert! They are not as good as they once were at this bakery. They seem smaller, less butter, and less sugar, too doughy. Also, the only way you can get a receipt is to give them your cell number or your email address, I hate being extorted for personal information to make a $10 purchase. I won't be back...

Charming small business on the corner with a cool atmosphere and delicious pastries. The staff was friendly and welcoming. While six pastries came to about $30, which felt a bit pricey, the quality and taste is good though. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

This is a wonderful local bakery! Their savoury brioches always hit the spot! We also loved their orange cardamom babka, hoping that's a repeat.

Worth the drive from Guelph! I primarily came to aura-la for their kouign-amann which are incredible! I’ve had both the fresh ones and the frozen bake at home version. They have quite a wide range of sweet and savory options along with a great grab and go grocery section! Looking forward to trying more of their offerings.

Aura-La is a lovely little bakery. The people are friendly and knowledgeable, the seating areas are clean, and they have a variety of intriguing local products available.

The star of the show is the baking. While not all of the flavours and textures are a hit for me (looking at you, butter tart squares), some of the pastries have blown me away.

Let's talk about the Campfire Square. The Campfire Square is a reconstructed S'more. A buttery graham crust with a hint of salt acts as the base for a thick layer of chocolate ganache, topped with a house-made vegetarian whipped marshmallow fluff, toasted just a bit.

They're a tad crumbly on the bottom, but that is by no means a bad thing-- just be sure you've got a plate or napkin underneath. The salt and sweet balance each other out beautifully. It's at once rich, crunchy, smooth, and fluffy, and it all works together.

Their chocolate chip cookie bars and lemon babkas are also pretty banging. If it's a two-pastry day, I'll get a chocolate chip cookie bar and something else. From now on, that something else is going to be the Campfire Bar!

(They're 2SLGBTQIA+ friendly, which is always a plus.)

The breakfast Brioche buns are amazing. Pastry is tasty and fluffy with great ingredients inside. Nice to also see the cafe works with the friendlier program I'm looking forward to using the re-usable containers one day ?

Great little cafe/ bakery/ shop!!
They had so many local products from various artisans. Their in-house baked goods are too die for, and I recommend getting there early enough to sample the breakfast bun. What a great idea. If you love a good bakery, I highly recommend checking this place out. Also the staff area lovely!!
