BeaverTails - Queues de Castor (The Boardwalk, Waterloo)

I visited here on a Saturday evening around 8pm. I want to start by saying the person working behind the counter did the absolute best they could - but they were the only one working! This is clearly bad management to have one person working on a Saturday evening. I ended up waiting just under half an hour between when I entered and when I got my Beavertail. There were consistently 6-10 people present in the shop the entire time I was there - again, showing how important it is to have more than one worker! The worker was clearly stressed with managing taking orders, making orders, and packaging them and getting them to the customers - easily the job of 3 people. It is ludicrous to not have multiple people working the shop in such an evidently busy time.

As always, the beavertail itself was delicious. But I should not have had to wait 25 minutes for it because only one person was working.

Do better, management.

Great food, but so lack of staff. Every time I came, there is only one staff there even at peak time. And I have to wait more than 20 minutes for just one order, I just left, why don’t hire more staff during peak time???

Guy working was super nice. We had 3 differentbeaver tails and they were all amazing. Not many tables, more suitable for take out. Didn’t try the food, but I will try it! Admittedly it was a little wait, but it didn’t matter since everything was made well, and with care.

The staff is always friendly and the food is always delicious!

Extremely slow service, just left about an hour ago and it took double the time they told me, for a very small order when it wasn't even busy

After a terrible experience at a local restaurant.. I ended up treating myself and bestfriend yo some beaver tail!
And I can honestly say that I was not disappointed!!!

We had the absolute pleasure of having Anthony to serve us. His patience and pleasantness was such a refreshing touch to customer service we’ve have dealt with today!

gave me a beaver tail covered in flour, not sugar and refused to remake it or give me a refund. unacceptable food and customer service!

Edit: I did talk to the staff there and they did not care nor offer me a refund. The owner is lying in their reply

My friend almost died cause they gave me raw flour instead of sugar and charged extra for water. like the man is coughing and throwing up on your food. At least give some customer service, and give water.

I never heard of beaver tails before tonight. I also didn’t understand why there was a sink near the counter and the wall said messy is good. Now I understand both. They are so messy good. The Triple Trip was rich, the Banaroma tasty, and the Classic was good without the mess. Will hopefully be back next trip

Service was fast, friendly and the Beaver Tails were hot and fresh, even though we came in after 8:30pm. The location is in a really nice spot, as there is plenty of outdoor seating and a playground for the kids.
