Disappointed in the food this time. The prime rib was chewy. Feel like I cooked better prime rib than this one. The chocolate cake was dry. Not sure is this is because it was a Sunday early evening or what.

We had a group of 10. The good was excellent and service was amazing and friendly. We've never had a bad meal there.

Our server did an excellent job with our orders and he was entertaining as well. All 14 of us enjoyed our delicious meals! The upper room has a beautiful ambiance!

The food was fabulous. Our waiter was excellent!! He didn't rush us and invited us to stay as long as we wanted.

There was a wedding parry when we arrived and we were told service was going to be slow. But samantha our waitress was great and took our full order and delivered our drinks and food very quick. Great job guys food was amazing. It was my.wifes birthday and we got a tasty chocolate tort on the house. We will be back.

We had a reservation for 10 people for Thanksgiving dinner and it did not dissapoint. A few of us ordered other items off of the menu, which were equally as delicious. We were seated right away and our drink orders were taken. Service was outstanding and our waitress was amazing. The food, omg, I cannot wait to go back and try other items on the menu.  I highly recommend this restaurant any day of the week. 

As always Borealis was a great choice. We appreciate the locally sourced food. Our chicken and pickerel were delicious. Luigi, our waiter, was his usual self, very knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time. He certainly take it up a notch! Highly recommended.

I have enjoyed many meals at this restaurant but not the latest. The before dinner martini was impossible to drink. I was told that the restaurant had just changed to a new supplier. The Manitoulin Trout arrived lukewarm and was not as described in the menu. Red cabbage had been replaced with a smattering of white and the advertised potato crisps where no where to be seen. I will be back based on the many excellent meals and service that I've had previous to last night.

The waitress was very nice and pleasant however the service itself both drinks and main meals was quite slow. They also forgot a meal and had to make it on the fly. The two steaks were tough and not properly cooked. Overall a bit of a disappointment. Didn't even offer a discount on the forgotten meal the person in our group just had to wait

We have come to this restaurant a few times now, service was a little slow that evening, but they were training a new server. Our order was delayed getting into the system by the server which meant that other tables who were seated after us and ordered after us got their food before of us. We had a baby sitter so it meant we were a little rushed to eat once we got our food. The food is always fantastic. We will definitely be coming here again.

We had date night for dinner. The restaurant is so cozy. Our server was lovely. Food was really good. My husband surprised himself and ordered the pasta special which was really good.

We were sat in the bar area. Our server was rude, loud and not very helpful. Food was terrible. I had the spinach quinoa salad- the cucumbers looked soggy and mushy. Mostly spinach. Our client was not happy with the draft beer but was ignored. No effort to make things right. What happened? Service and food use to be top notch. Not sure if we will ever go back and it use to be one of our go to spots. Personally and with clients. I was embarrassed I had brought my clients there.

We went to Borealis to celebrate my husband's birthday. We have been many times before and have always had an excellent experience. Last night was mediocre at best which was disappointing because of our past experiences. There was a wedding in one room. In the upper dinning room there was a very large and loud hockey team. It was so loud we could not hear one another. Fortunately the amazing waitstaff moved our group of 6 to the bar area. They offered the move and we gladly accepted. My wine came in a glass so filthy that I could feel the grime. They replaced it with a fresh glass. Our friend ordered the steak which was extremely over cooked. My husband had the fried chicken which was burnt. The other meals were okay. In past the food was always excellent so again we were very disappointed. The waitstaff were friendly and helpful. They did their best. It was clear the kitchen was overwhelmed.
