They serve coffee, sandwiches, soup, and other light fair. They have lots of vegetarian options. The cappuccino is very good.

they’re too slow in processing food and preparing online orders. It takes them forever to prepare a sandwiche
Great coffee and love their chick pea sandwich

I’m not even vegetarian, but the food here is so good that I honestly forget about all the meat dishes I usually love. I crave their sandwiches all the time. The menu is full of unique combinations and flavors that come together so well. Their coffee drinks are also some of the best I’ve ever had in KW. The quality is always consistent too; I order through Uber Eats often and have never had a single issue.

I come here often and it's my favorite cafe. I love how all the menu options are available to me and just 2 or 3 like other places. I love the compostable packaging. And right now they have pumpkin spice kids cookie and it's very delicious, also nice and light which surprised me. Every time I come the coffee is still well brewed, I haven't had a burnt coffee from here. All their roasts are delicious but I like the light roast if I'm getting a flavor syrup, helps the taste come through well. And their lunch menu is amazing, my favorite is the A.L.T. I highly recommend this place to everyone

Very rude staff who are more concerned with texting on their phones than serving customers. I am consistently having to wait, even when there is no one in the cafe, for the person at the counter to finish playing on their phones. They usually don't acknowledge me and are completely ok with leaving their customers hanging. And then, service is very slow. I have been coming here for years since they were in the Charles St location and they are consistently able to find the rudest, most apathetic employees who can't serve you without making it seem like they are inconvenienced by your existence. I will not be coming here anymore, if you don't want to work then I don't want to support your business

I’ve been stopping by the café at the Kitchener Public Library location pretty regularly. This time I used a free coffee voucher they gave me at the downtown location and the girl at the counter actually asked if I found it on the road. Excuse me? That’s not just rude, it’s disrespectful. If you can’t show basic manners, you shouldn’t be serving customers. Hire sensible people who know how to treat others. I’m done with this location. Good luck keeping customers with that attitude.

Does this spot even need a review? It is so consistent with its offerings - delicious gluten free and vegan option food, paired with great coffee, and dessert! I have always loved the kale salad, and any GF muffin I can get my hands on. A KW staple.

The food was not very flavourful and definitely not worth the money. The worker there was not very friendly, and just stared at you waiting for you to speak. Very unsettling.

Central location. Vegan options. I, personally, could never recommend a place that I need to ask for utilities.

Really great place with vegan options, only issue was it took a long time to get our food. Couldn’t tell if it was because of how long the food took to prepare or because the cooks were chatting away

Lovely and quiet place for a snack and coffee. I loved the hospitality and the choices of food, perfect variety and allergy friendly/free. April and Tess were charming and worked very fast during the rush. Would definitely visit again!

I used to love cafe pyrus. Just visited from out of the city and noticed they no longer include sides with their sandwiches, $3 to add chips at $4.50 to add kale salad. $17 for an angry vegan sandwich that didn’t have onions when it was supposed to, 2 pieces of tempeh and a tiny amount of spinach on a bun. Portions are smaller than they used to be and much more expensive. Disappointed in a Kitchener staple that used to be so good. Sadly I wont be going back.
