Went there for lunch. Friendly service, Norwegian eggs Benedict was spot on! Potato pancake a tad too salty, but overall 10/10 a good place to get your breakfast/lunch

Fantastic breakfast spot, the coffee isn't anything to write home about but the food definitely is!

This is one of my new favourite breakfast places! Worthwhile waiting a little longer for an incredible nice breakfast!! The service is outstanding, the coffee excellent and there are lots of unique choices. This is a gem and a must visit!

We had high expectations for this place but after waiting for over 40 minutes for our breakfast we left without trying the food. We were sat at 10:10, and by 10:55 we were still missing our meals, and had not even been offered a refill, and were not informed that our food was taking longer than expected.

The place was at half capacity when we ordered and stayed like that the whole time we were there.
We were not the only table waiting for food but it seems like we were the only patrons asking for our order, and the answer was 'You don't want to wait? There are other tables waiting!'.

Whoever manages a restaurant should warn customers when service is slow and the approximate wait for food, and let them decide. Maybe the food here is so good regulars don't care but for us, always trying new restaurants, it was a first and last.

This is a cozy café in the heart of downtown Kitchener, perfect for breakfast or brunch.
The food was fresh and tasty, with a couple of well-made vegetarian options that really hit the spot. The menu had a nice selection of dishes.

What made the visit even better was the service—the server was genuinely kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout.

The café has a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Not a huge fan of their interior, though, but their food hits a home run 🙌

Highly recommended if you're in the area and looking for a great breakfast spot with good food and warm service!

Good food, but long wait. We waited 1.5 hours to get our meal. For breakfast …

Took 40 mins to get our drinks and 1.5 hours to get food. Overall time we were there was an hour 45 mins.
The drinks came warm (orange juice and a smoothie). The food was mediocre, but it was warm and chef served it to us with a smile.

This place was a 4 min walk from the crowne hotel so it was convenient, but will not be returning. Disappointed as their reviews are so good.

Darlise Cafe is the only place we will go for eggs benedict because the quality here exceeds everywhere else! If you want to get seated without a wait, be sure to arrive early (I find before 9-9:30am it's not usually too busy). But really, if you have the time it's worth the wait! Service is amazing! The owners clearly care about their customers and strive for quality in everything they do. The chef has some incredible dishes on the menu, but honestly I can't bring myself to order anything other than the eggs benny's because they're just so good. My fiance and I usually split the traditional eggs benny and the chicken and waffles eggs benny, both are incredible. Anyone looking for a cozy cafe with impeccable food must try Darlise Cafe!

It’s been quite a few years since I’ve been, but I was so happy to be back. We had a delicious breakfast this past weekend. The food was amazing.

The service was a little off on arrival, but Liz was amazing and made up for cold start.

We had the benedict, blueberry French toast and classic breakfast, with coffees and a smoothie. Everything was full of flavour, super tasty and reasonably priced. The tropical jam is literally to die for!

My only critique, play some music!! You could hear people eating and the dull drone of the fridges and vents.

Extremely slow even with a reservation and took an hour to get our food...which was cold
