I always enjoy bringing people to Ellison's. Local chef and proprietor Elvis is very friendly and welcomed guests to his bistro. I find the food tasty - my two favourites are the jambalaya and the blackened catfish. I enjoy dining on white table cloths. I especially appreciate that there's no distracting music in the background, so you can have good conversation with your dining companion.

I had the Blackened catfish which was lovely. Portions were decent for the price. Found it odd that they had no rum when they do serve alcohol and are a Caribbean restaurant; might have just been out IDK. The meal took a while to come out, but was cooked fresh. The decor could use a good clean or even a re-vamp, and a fan or AC as it got quite hot inside. I would be interested in trying the oxtail next time.

Absolutely delicious food, and warm, kind service. Ellison's Bistro is a gem.I got the vegetarian roti, and the person I was dining with got the chicken roti. Both were perfectly seasoned and very filling. I highly recommend the roti.I will be back!
