Firehouse Subs The Boardwalk

Overpriced fast food sandwich that isnt fast. Went here once for lunch and was told it would be a 45 min wait. Wasted time driving there for a short lunch.

Placed an online order for pickup. Picked up the 2 sandwiches and drove home. Noticed one of the sandwiches was burnt. It was close to closing time of the restaurant (around 9pm) so decided to go back the next day instead. Brought the sandwich back the next day and asked for a replacement. Spoke to the manager who was extremely rude, dismissive and unapologetic. She kept saying there was nothing they could do, I should have came back the previous day. That was the store policy. At one point her response was: 'How do I know that you bought this at this location?' I told her the receipt is right there on the bag. At that point, I knew she had no intention of trying to fix the issue.

I said it should never been given to me in the first place in that condition and it is not my responsibility to know their store policies. The onus is on the restaurant to make up for their mistake. There was no apology, no acknowledgment that there was anything wrong, nothing.

A simple apology or acknowledgement of the issue would have sufficed but instead she tried to blame it on the customer for not returning the same day.

Will not be returning.

Update: sent Phil an email (as requested) and haven't received a reply in 2 weeks.

This is a poor way to treat your customers.

Sub was great. Took over 15 minutes to get 2 subs. I guess Skip The Dishes takes priority over eat in customers. Not sure I want to eat in next time. But maybe go somewhere else so I don't need to wait that long. It was unfortunate.

Went to this location instead of my usual one. Seriously 😞 disappointed. Not only did it take forever to receive my order but when u did....it wasn't worth waiting for. I'm an avid firehouse sub eater, but this location put me off their subs for a bit. Highly recommend the fairway location if you want awesome service and amazing food!

Fresh ingredients and toppings, inventively combined, make for a satisfying meal.

As delicious as firehouse sub is, it’s not worth waiting almost an hour for. One person making subs and one on the til.. customers lined up to order and customers taking all the seating because it’s taking so long. Brutal.

They have two staff working at noon on a Saturday. Takes 25 minutes to get a sub.

Omg, I’m glad real firemen don’t take as long to get to a fire as it takes for a Firehouse location to make subs. Why are there so many people behind the counter and only one person is making subs? I’m not sure I can do Firehouse subs anymore with the amount of waiting involved. They do make great subs though.

I usually enjoy firehouse for lunch, but when I can’t ask for a couple extra mayo packets because I didn’t “preorder” them when I ordered my sub! Suck it up and keep your customers happy. This is the stuff that turns people Away! Cheaping out on condiment! Disappointed…

Ordered roast beef with cheese .Beef and cheese were all dipped in water and was cold. When the supervisor was making it, she also noticed that warmer did not work and all the water sipped in but still she served the sandwich with those cold meats and cheese . To top it all water was dripping when we ate the sandwich and it was all soggy.

Solid subs that fill you up. They ask for a round up donation but not a tip.

Special shoutout to Japan a hard worker who made my sub taste the best it can ever be. It was so fresh and hot out of the oven with sensational flavours and taste. I would def recommend this location and their Italian sub!???‍????
