We were in town for a night, staying at a hotel down the street, and were pointed in the direction of the Golden Hearth. When we arrived (Saturday morning) there was a small line up, a good sign! The smell was intoxicating and the selection was spectacular! We chose a country sourdough loaf, pain chocolate, almond croissant, and a croissant bread with almond cream, pistachios and cherries. All of the items were great, clearly all baked with love and care! The absolute standout for us was the almond croissant, the balance of flavours and the perfect crunch of the pastry with the filling was unbelievably delicious. Can’t wait to be back to try some other offerings and old favourites!

I visited this place for the first time last week, and we bought croissants there. We were surprised at how delicious they were. They were incredible. The owner was kind and friendly. I will be visiting this place frequently.

The queer guy keeps acting weird everything I go there to purchase, once he grabbed a cherry cheese danish from the display while there were plenty of fresh ones in the tray behind him.
And today I asked for two items he had a brown to go paper bag in his had already but all the sudden he grabbed another one that was already folded up and started putting my items in there WhatTheFrog I said he looked at me and said oh this one is smaller I’m like bruh they are the exact same size ?
Creeps me out I wonder if his stable and I’m not definitely going back there again too bad really liked the croissants ?

One of my favourite bakeries in Kitchener. Delicious pastries, fantastic bread, really nice staff. If you’re by the market, and you’re in the mood for perfect sourdough, or a perfect danish or crossaint, stop by here. You will not be disappointed.

There are levels to the game of Bread.

These folks have IMO the Highest of order for their delightful morcels.

My visit to this store was an absolute pleasure. I was being served by Chris and he was super knowledgeable and very excited about the creations that come out of them ovens. They way he spoke the bread and what they were made my friend and I buy over 100 bucks in bread and pastries.

We immediately went onto the bag the second we got into the car and began to devour the loaf of sourdough that Chris claimed was "Utra forward sourdough flavor".

The Crust... so beautiful and crispy!! The Colour.... deep and rich
The inside of the bread.. soft as clouds

I will be back and I will empty my wallet again to them any day.
