The place to go for a really nice dinner.

I had dinner at the Golf Steak House in Kitchener for the first time yesterday evening, and as someone with celiac disease and I rarely eat out anywhere, I went in with my usual caution. I called ahead and spoke with a gentleman who assured me that they are very knowledgeable about gluten-free dining and proper procedures to keep me safe. That gave me confidence, and after doing a little more online research, I decided to give it a try.
I ordered the New York Striploin with a baked potato and fresh veggies, everything was absolutely delicious. My server was outstanding: knowledgeable, attentive, and very thoughtful. She even came over before bringing garlic bread to the table to check if I was okay with it being served, which I really appreciated. She also explained which items from the salad bar were safe and let me know the soup of the day wasn’t gluten-free.
I know salad bars can be a bit risky for cross-contamination, but this one was very clean, organized, and every bowl had its own serving spoon. I enjoyed a fresh salad with veggies and some cold beets (so good!) and avoided items directly next to gluten foods.
Most importantly… I am a very symptomatic celiac (I react within 20 minutes if something isn’t safe), and here I am the next day feeling perfectly great! That says everything.
Overall, the meal was wonderful, the staff was amazing, and I felt completely comfortable dining here. I’ll definitely be returning for another great steak dinner!

Golf's Steak House & Seafood delivers great food, good drinks, and friendly service every time. The staff are welcoming and attentive, and the meals are consistently satisfying—definitely a highlight of the experience.
However, the atmosphere feels outdated and old, and could really benefit from some updates to better reflect the evolving customer base and match the quality of the food. While it didn’t ruin the dinner by any means, it’s worth mentioning for those who value ambiance as part of their dining experience.
Still, if you're looking for a solid meal with excellent service, Golf's is absolutely worth a visit.

Came with family to celebrate and was disappointed. The service was great, however... the salad bar was dim and tiny and stuck in front of a dark bar without a bartender (probably taken away for the loud wedding downstairs), salad bar selection was seriously lacking - nothing was labeled, food ordered was okay but not great, old carpets and creaky chairs, we booked the solarium room and the river view was completely blocked by the huge white event tent for the wedding downstairs, the bass from their music was irritating. Nothing about the experience exceeded my expectations, as the website touts. Maybe this would be a good sunday brunch spot, at best.

Never had a bad experience or meal at Golf's. The prime rib is amazing, and they make one of the best Tom Collins.
Update 8/23/25: Another amazing prime rib meal this evening with family. Our server Mackenzie M. was fantastic, had a great sense of humor and great witty comebacks (which may be required when dealing with me!) - also frequently checked to make sure drinks weren't dry and that all things were good at the table! Fantastic service. Also, still the best Tom Collins I've found.

My husband Booked the Ballroom & golf's Catered my Birthday Party. Great Venue & Excellent Delicious Food served Buffet style. Gus (Nice, Friendly) was Amazing to deal with planning My Party. He gave us lots of time to go in early to decorate before the party. We were so happy that we chose Golf Steakhouse to Celebrate My Birthday. It was the BEST PARTY. Would HIGHLY recommend.

Excellent and attentive service. We had a large prime rib which was very very good, and rack of lamb that was tasty but the sauce was not exactly to my taste. Soup was wonderfull and salad bar has quite a varied selection of items. Garlic mashed potatoes were excellent but vegetables were overseasoned. Overall a nice experience.

What a great experience overall. We have our local car club attend for a fun evening and were very well taken care of by Erin & Alyna. I would highly recommend for any group meetings and we plan to come back again next year... Food was great!

Had my first 24oz Porterhouse steak here. Aged 28+ days. This was, by far, the best steak I’ve ever indulged. Total thumbs up and compliments to the Chef!

Not only they excel at steak dinner, but, their cheesecake is nothing ordinary, so fluffy, yum factor of 10. A memory building experience.

Went there for our 20th anniversary. Wife and I both love a good steak. I had the prime rib, she had a sirloin. Excellent steak, salad bar drinks and dessert. You can tell the place needs a bit of a face lift. It's obviously be in service for some time. Very nice and well appointed. Just a little worn.
Obviously going to s steak house, your going to get a more affluent crowd. And golf being right in the name, it's obviously geared to a certain kind of person. We found out fellow patrons quite loud and rude. Especially to the servers. I'm sure there are affluent people who play golf, who are decent folk. It's just I've run into an awful lot of them who aren't. My experience at this establishment, while very positive in terms of the food and service, did little to improve my opinion of the less pleasant classes.

Was a wedding, so not the typical date or party night set up. But fun times and looked good!

I feel bad not giving 5 stars. The service is amazing. Atmosphere is amazing. I ordered a Caesar - for the price it could’ve been bigger/more exciting. But still good.
Salad bar - there could definitely be more options. It’s good, what I got was fine, I just feel for a restaurant as big and beautiful as Golf’s there could more.
I ordered the surf and turf. Lobster was the best I’ve ever had. It was huge and seasoned and just incredible. The steak was ok. I was sad because I was really looking forward to it but it was pretty dry. Wildcraft still takes the cake for the best steak in the region I think. And I feel bad saying that. I tried so hard to enjoy the steak but it just didn’t have any juice to it.
Our server was amazing.
There was also a guy walking around with his shirt open, dipping his hands in the salads, stopping at tables to watch people eat. I know the managers were watching him but I was a little uncomfortable… obviously I’m sure that was a one off though.
I will still be back. I just wish this place was a little bit “more” if that makes sense.
Celebrated a friend's birthday here. I had the lamb rack and it was wonderful.

It is too expensive for the variety of selection.
