Totally Amazing Cod with Greek Salad.

I recently visited Halibut House Fish and Chips with high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations.

Upon arrival, I was greeted politely, and the staff maintained a respectful and courteous tone throughout my visit, which I appreciated. However, the overall service was significantly lacking. It took approximately 30 minutes just to have my order taken, despite the restaurant not being overly busy at the time. This long wait set a frustrating tone for the rest of the visit.

When the food finally arrived, my order was incorrect, which added to the disappointment. Although the staff were polite, there was little effort to correct the mistake in a timely manner. It felt as though the communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff was disorganized, which impacted the quality of service.

While I understand that mistakes can happen, I do believe that a more attentive approach and improved efficiency could have made this experience much better. I’m hopeful that the management team or corporate office will take this feedback seriously and offer some form of resolution, as I do see potential in the restaurant if the service aspect is addressed.

I’m sharing this feedback in the spirit of helping improve the customer experience for future diners.

Well priced lunch special. Food is made fresh to order. Fast and friendly service. Would recommend.

I enjoyed the fish and chips. Got the halibut lunch meal. Really filling and good deal for 11.95 cad. The place was clean and the staff were polite and the food was piping hot and fresh.

My bf’s Opa finds it too greasy

Food is good but very expensive. I usually look for cheaper alternatives these days when it comes to fish and chips. Simple good tasting fish and chips should not blow your wallet like this place does.

If you dine in they include coleslaw but take out yiu have to pay. ALL fish and chips give you coleslaw. If you want yo add one extra piece of Fish you pay same price $16 for 1 piece. OMG THE WORSE I

Halibut is a thin and skimpy serving, in a frozen breaded square. Not worth the money. Friendly server - but won’t be back.

We had 2 seafood platters. The fish was done perfectly in light oil which tells us they change oil on a regular basis. Very thin better which yields more fish and the chips were very tasty and big. We would definitely come back as these places are hard to find.
