Highland Halal Shawarma

With every every bite, as your teeth sink in to the layer of bread, gyro, and veggies, the mix of delicious juices flooding on your tongue, makes you realize why this place needs more recognition. One cute little take out shop, no fancy branding, small crew, and a lot of heart in their work. This is an example of why family owned businesses are better than big corporation run chains. The flavor was just right. Special shout out to Mahmood and Mahmooda, they were really polite and seems like they really know their customers. Keep up the good work guys.

I had the Beef Gyro Pita wrap. This was by far one of the best gyro wraps I have ever had. Most other places overload their servings with sauces to give it the right flavor. This one was just loaded with the flavorful gyro and right amount of veggies and no overpowering sauces. Just the right amount.

I've tried a lot of shawarma restaurants and nothing I've had compares to Highland. Any time I'm in Kitchener it's a must have. The ingredients are fresh, the service is great and my food is consistently impeccable, especially for the price. I would recommend Highland to anyone in the area, you're not going to get better value for the taste and quality.

This is not a place you go to dine in. This is a place you go to get the best shawarma in KW! I personally recommend the full flavour shawarma wrap. Call ahead for speedier pickup, but they're usually pretty quick unless they're slammed.

This place objectively has the best shawarma in all of KW! Each time I come here I'm very pleased. I've tried the shawarma wraps, the gyros and the poutine, all of which were splendid. I personally prefer the shawarma of course. I'm not going to any other place besides this one.

This place used to have some of the best Shawurma. Service was good. Now they are charging a $1 for extra garlic sauce on a wrap. Thats not right no other Shawurma place charges that unless you’re getting it on that side which makes sense. The owner should really start being more considerate of his customers. You are just trying to hustle that dollar at this point!

Got two falafel wraps today for myself and my brother. Unfortunately, we both couldn’t finish them because the amount of salt in the wraps was unpalatable. I thought it came from the turnips, but after a point, everything just felt too salty to enjoy. I had high hopes but I won’t be returning.
