With every every bite, as your teeth sink in to the layer of bread, gyro, and veggies, the mix of delicious juices flooding on your tongue, makes you realize why this place needs more recognition. One cute little take out shop, no fancy branding, small crew, and a lot of heart in their work. This is an example of why family owned businesses are better than big corporation run chains. The flavor was just right. Special shout out to Mahmood and Mahmooda, they were really polite...

I've tried a lot of shawarma restaurants and nothing I've had compares to Highland. Any time I'm in Kitchener it's a must have. The ingredients are fresh, the service is great and my food is consistently impeccable, especially for the price. I would recommend Highland to anyone in the area, you're not going to get better value for the taste and quality.

This is not a place you go to dine in. This is a place you go to get the best shawarma in KW! I personally recommend the full flavour shawarma wrap. Call ahead for speedier pickup, but they're usually pretty quick unless they're slammed.
