We traveled about an hour from London to check out this spot, and it was absolutely worth the drive. The half jerk chicken meal came with generous portions—and more importantly, every bite was packed with flavor.

The plantain was sweet and perfectly soft, just the way it should be.

But man oh man, the festival—that was something else. Probably my favorite part of the meal. It’s rare to find places that get it just right like that.

Also, it's hard to come across rum cake outside of Christmas, so I was thrilled to see it on the menu. This one was dense, moist, and incredibly tasty—just like my mom’s.

One suggestion: would you consider offering rum cake with icing? I’ve had it that way at another place, and it adds a really special touch.

Irie Myrie’s Inc is hands-down one of the most delicious and authentic Caribbean food spots in the region. Whether you're grabbing take-out or visiting their food truck, the quality and flavour are consistently outstanding. From the smoked jerk chicken to the curry goat and oxtail, every dish is packed with bold, rich spices and made with fresh ingredients that truly stand out.

The staff are friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they put heart into every meal. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the experience feels like a taste of Jamaica right here in Cambridge/Kitchener.

🌟 Irie Myrie Restaurant – Authentic Caribbean Vibes, Every Time! 🌟

I visited Irie Myrie again recently, and once again, it felt like a trip back home. This time, I started with the chicken soup, and wow—it was rich, flavorful, and comforting, just like sipping soup on a Saturday back in the islands. Every spoonful was packed with herbs, spices, and that unmistakable Caribbean warmth.

I also had the oxtail, and just like before, it was fall-off-the-bone tender. When the flavors hit your throat, it instantly transports you—pure nostalgia in every bite. The spicy ackee and saltfish was perfectly balanced—not too spicy, just right—and full of bold, savory flavor.

The rice and peas that came with the meal was the real deal. You could taste the coconut milk and seasonings, and they definitely don’t skimp on ingredients. It’s hearty, authentic, and made with care.

And let’s not forget the jerk chicken, grilled outdoors over a real wood fire on a vertical, three-layer grill. That method gives it a deep, smoky flavor that’s hard to find anywhere else.

For a half-size plate, the portions are incredibly generous. Irie Myrie continues to impress with quality, flavor, and value. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out!

I have ordered my meals several times from this place and it has been awesome. Completely amazing. I ordered the oxtail and rice today Sep 18 2025. Forgive me I did not take a before picture but this is an after picture. As a proud African woman, I crushed the bone just to tell you how soft and juicy it was. The service was awesome. They paid attention to me and my order. They made me feel like I was the only customer in the room. Completely amazing.

The dough balls (whatever they are) have me hooked on this place! 🤣

This place is so freaking good. The jerk chicken sauce doesn't taste like typical jerk chicken sauce but it's delicious. The chicken is fall off the bone good and moist. The plantains are delicious. But the fried dough balls are the best (I wish it came with more of them!). Curry goat is so meaty (other places have just been bone mostly).

The portion sizes of this place are insane. We only got half portions. You get so much meat not just rice and peas.

Ordered king fish and jerk chicken. Food was warm fresh and tasty. Fresh vegetables and salad. No sitting space. They serve Halal too.. Highly recommended.
