I came here with my husband after finding out Zayzaman Shawarma across the street was out of meat shawarma — and wow, do we REGRET it! How on earth does this place have 4.4 stars? I’m honestly shocked. The “beef” was practically nonexistent — just tiny shreds sprinkled in like garnish. This should’ve been called a vegetable shawarma, not beef! I initially thought it was run by a kind older lady, but this felt downright stingy and disappointing. To top it off, two shawarmas and two cans of pop cost $30. Way too expensive for what was basically a salad wrap. Never coming back. Zero stars from me.

The lady there is very friendly and the food is great for the price.

Highest quality and fresh ingredients. A very traditional experience that's not over complicating things. They keep it simple but do an incredible job. If you don't try it you are definitely missing out.

The BEST shawarma poutine in the whole region. Zero complaints. If you love a good shawarma poutine you will not be disappointed.

I was excited to try this shawarma spot, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Plate, and while the portion looked decent at first glance, the quality just wasn’t there.

The rice was dry and lacked flavour, making it hard to enjoy. The salad was a very small portion, and while they were out of salad dressing, the staff member still poured the last few drops onto my salad instead of topping it up. The woman who took my order seemed quite dazed and unsure — perhaps she was new — but it made the ordering process feel very awkward.

On a more positive note, the woman at the register was friendly and helpful. She let me know about their Wednesday deal, which included a can of pop with the plate — a nice little bonus.

Overall, the flavours were just “meh,” and the experience left me underwhelmed. I wouldn’t rush back.

This is the best Shawarma in Kitchener!

The food is made fresh, the falafels are formed and fried fresh, been going here for years. The owner rocks and the hot sauce is not generic sriracha it has more flavor.

Update: Still killing it here

I have had better tasting shawarma.
Probably not going back to this location.

Our first experience of Lancaster Shawarma was a good one.

The Shawarma platter, the Shawarma wrap, the Chicken Samosa and the Poutine were very much enjoyed.

The menu is basic but there's enough choice to please a range of tastes and appetites.

The restaurant is basically a counter with no real space to eat in, so take out it is.

She gifted us baklava and talked nice. Plate could be filled with a bit more meat than rice.

Best shawarma I've had in ages. We got the chicken shawarma plate from here another time a few months ago and it was good but this time was even better. Smart change of takeout packaging too.
