So I’ve been to martinis tons of times and always enjoyed it. This time however there was a child watching cartoons with max volume on his device at the table next to us. I asked the waitress if she could ask the caregiver to turn the phone down or to put on headphones, she did not. I asked the woman to have the boy put on headphones and she said no. This is not the atmosphere for phones to be playing cartoons. I feel like martinis needs to uphold its sophisticated environment...
First visit to the Martinis part of the Charcoal. I also hadn’t been to the Charcoal in over a decade. We had an early dinner on the outdoor patio because the weather was perfect temperature to be outside. It’s a warm and cozy setting. Some traffic noise, but the plants do help filter that out.
I forget the server’s name, but she was excellent. Friendly and knowledgeable, but not at all pushy. She helped my partner change some ingredients in her cocktail...
