I had one of the worst experiences at this McDonald’s on 21st September in the evening (around 7:30–8:00 PM), and I feel it’s important to share.
My friend and I placed separate orders. The order I placed (3 burgers: Junior Chili Chicken, Habanero Chicken, and Spicy McVeggie) was actually for another friend who wasn’t with me at the time. The friend who was with me that day placed her own order for a single McVeggie burger, which we were planning to eat together.
When we returned from Walmart to pick up the food, the staff member (her name sounded like Leah or Alias) packed the orders very messily — three burgers crammed into one bag and another burger tossed into a separate small bag. Since it was confusing, we even had to ask for a handle bag.
We were extremely hungry, so we opened the food right away. The burgers weren’t wrapped properly or clearly labeled. My friend handed me what she thought was her McVeggie, I took a bite, and she did too. To our shock, it was chicken. We realized only after tasting it and reading the wrapper.
We immediately went to the counter and spoke to a staff member named Prabalika, who said she was the manager. We calmly explained the situation, but instead of apologizing or trying to understand, she told us to “keep our voices down” even though we were not yelling. What shocked me even more was that she started laughing with the staff member who had packed the order. I heard her say, “Hey bro, why did you do that?” in a joking way, as if this was something to laugh about.
This is not funny at all. For me, it’s not just a preference — it’s a religious and personal belief not to eat chicken. This mistake should have been taken seriously.
When we asked for a higher authority manager, she insisted she was the only one in charge. Instead of showing responsibility, she gave excuses:
• That McVeggie comes in a box, not a bag (how are first-time customers supposed to know that?).
• That both of us were together, so she combined the orders into the same bag (we had two separate receipts!).
• That McVeggie patties are fried in the same oil as fish, as if that somehow excused the mix-up.
Later, when my other friend (the one I had actually ordered the 3 burgers for) received his food, he sent me a picture. The burgers were poorly made — not enough sauce, hardly any lettuce, and the chicken patty in the Junior Chili Chicken and Habanero Chicken looked exactly the same. Even the patty itself was tiny.
The complete lack of accountability, empathy, and professionalism was shocking. She never once apologized.
This was a terrible, terrible experience. I would never recommend this location, especially to vegetarians, people with religious dietary restrictions, or anyone with food allergies. Mistakes like this are dangerous and disrespectful.
McDonald’s really needs to take action against this kind of behavior. As for me — I will never eat at McDonald’s again, and I strongly warn others about the Waterloo Boardwalk McDonald’s inside Walmart.

Waited 15 minutes for my coffee. I was standing at the counter like an idiot, and all the associates were avoiding eye contact and doing literally nothing, and they cleared all of the unfinished orders from the board without even serving me. They didn’t even offer an apology.

I legitimately waited for 10 minutes for a single mcdouble and got to watch as the guy in the back stood around doing nothing, just standing there with the buns ready and nothing happening. I don't know if the patties weren't cooked or something but I eventually just had to leave without my food (paid $5 btw). They cleared all of the unfinished orders from the board so that those KPIs still look good though! 0/10, the only solace was that the workers in the front were clearly uncomfortable with how long it was taking, as 6 or 7 of us stand around waiting for simple orders

Very nod prepared, let's place needs to put a management.
I just want to shout out the absolute legend working tonight who made my Oreo McFlurrys like her life depended on it. These McFlurrys weren’t just blended, they were masterpieces.
But the best part? When I walked up to get them, she was covered in ice cream spatter like she just walked off the battlefield of Dairy Dessert Warfare. I don't know your name, McFlurry Queen, but thank you
Hire this woman to train everyone. Or give her a cape. She’s earned it. 🙌🍦

I waited a long time after ordering
Milkshakes !! Why?
I would give it less if I could.
It's alright, they are pretty good at doing what you asked for but I have had them mess up before.
Staff is nice when they interact with customers.
It's pretty busy so it gets messy, but I see the effort they put in to clean the dining area.

Coffee spill on table on to my lap and 2nd degree burns 😭
My friend ordered the Minecraft meal for the toy code but it didn’t come with it. When he told the staff about it he was turned down of any refund and the meal was an extra $4 for the toy. Diet Coke is also out of order.
Bad time rude staff and food
This McDonald's is filthy. There's thick dust on the counter all around the cash registers. The area where the popping strawberries are is filthy if the dust in need of a really good clean. Can't imagine how the kitchen looks if the public areas look this bad.
