Dear McDonald’s Customer Service Team,
I am writing to express my concern about an incident I witnessed at one of your locations.
During my visit to the McDonald’s at 100 The Boardwalk, Kitchener, ON N2N 0B1
on January 24, 2026, I observed a manager speaking to an employee in a very loud, rude, and disrespectful manner. The manager was yelling at the employee in front of customers, which was extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing to witness.
Regardless of the situation, this type of behavior is unprofessional and inappropriate, especially in a public setting. It reflects poorly on the work environment and on the values McDonald’s represents.
I felt it was important to bring this to your attention and hope this matter will be addressed to ensure employees are treated with respect and dignity.
Thank you for your time and attention.
R.k.

Just like your typical McDonald’s. Nothing special, but always a convenient stop. Stopped here with my team during a basketball tournament. Small location but had all you needed. Located in a plaza with plenty of parking.

I visited this McDonald’s around 7:00 AM and asked for a muffin. The staff member(Punjabi person with turbon) at the counter responded very rudely, saying something like, “Didn’t you see I was back there putting muffins away? You have to wait one hour to get this.”
I was polite and respectful, so the response was unnecessary and unprofessional. If an item is unavailable, that’s fine—but it should be communicated politely. Customer service matters, especially in Canada where respectful service is expected.
Management should be aware of this behavior and provide better customer service training.
If you need more information, feel free to contact me.

I wish there was a 0 star. Every time i either order on the app or in person there’s always a problem. Whether my fries are cold or my delivery is an hour late and half my food is missing they cannot seem to put the fries in the box. I ordered the new grinch meal and was so excited to try it. I ordered the 10 piece nugget with fries. When my food arrived i had 4 chicken nuggets, and my friends were spilled everywhere and cold. I also never received the socks that come with it. In previous occasions its been similar problems.

I recently had order of and I think your Mayo sauce is expired. Your supervisor or manager should check on that.
Its my third time I ordered from this location through doordash and skip, every-time I got fresh and hot food that was tasteful to my mouth and I really enjoyed the consistency throughout, will recommend anyone trying to order online and getting hot and fresh mcd food.

Today we observed the staff go the extra mile, after placing our order we were given a number for table service.the staff person doing this assignment was welcoming and professional.we observed him talking to others as he delivered their orders. He also asked customers if he could take their tray when finished. The gold star was someone left a toy from a kids meal and rather than putting it in the trash he approached a young family and asked if they would like it.mother happy kids happy, well done to the team.

service is always quick, the food is always well-made (burgers are nicely constructed, fries are hot and not too salty) and the staff is very friendly. the only downside of this location, in my opinion, is that it's in a walmart

Dear Management,
I am a DoorDash delivery driver, and I recently went to your location to pick up a mobile order. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The staff member working at that time — an Indian man with a beard — was extremely rude and dismissive. He showed no regard for online orders and was unhelpful when I tried to communicate respectfully.
I kindly request that management look into this matter and take appropriate action. As a delivery driver, I regularly interact with restaurant staff, and professionalism makes a big difference for everyone involved.
Thank you for your attention to this issue.
Sincerely,

This is the cleanest and hardest working mcdonalds I have seen. The team is very customer driven. From the Director , to the manager and the employees. All work great and deserve the 5 stars!

I had one of the worst experiences at this McDonald’s on 21st September in the evening (around 7:30–8:00 PM), and I feel it’s important to share.
My friend and I placed separate orders. The order I placed (3 burgers: Junior Chili Chicken, Habanero Chicken, and Spicy McVeggie) was actually for another friend who wasn’t with me at the time. The friend who was with me that day placed her own order for a single McVeggie burger, which we were planning to eat together.
When we returned from Walmart to pick up the food, the staff member (her name sounded like Leah or Alias) packed the orders very messily — three burgers crammed into one bag and another burger tossed into a separate small bag. Since it was confusing, we even had to ask for a handle bag.
We were extremely hungry, so we opened the food right away. The burgers weren’t wrapped properly or clearly labeled. My friend handed me what she thought was her McVeggie, I took a bite, and she did too. To our shock, it was chicken. We realized only after tasting it and reading the wrapper.
We immediately went to the counter and spoke to a staff member named Prabalika, who said she was the manager. We calmly explained the situation, but instead of apologizing or trying to understand, she told us to “keep our voices down” even though we were not yelling. What shocked me even more was that she started laughing with the staff member who had packed the order. I heard her say, “Hey bro, why did you do that?” in a joking way, as if this was something to laugh about.
This is not funny at all. For me, it’s not just a preference — it’s a religious and personal belief not to eat chicken. This mistake should have been taken seriously.
When we asked for a higher authority manager, she insisted she was the only one in charge. Instead of showing responsibility, she gave excuses:
• That McVeggie comes in a box, not a bag (how are first-time customers supposed to know that?).
• That both of us were together, so she combined the orders into the same bag (we had two separate receipts!).
• That McVeggie patties are fried in the same oil as fish, as if that somehow excused the mix-up.
Later, when my other friend (the one I had actually ordered the 3 burgers for) received his food, he sent me a picture. The burgers were poorly made — not enough sauce, hardly any lettuce, and the chicken patty in the Junior Chili Chicken and Habanero Chicken looked exactly the same. Even the patty itself was tiny.
The complete lack of accountability, empathy, and professionalism was shocking. She never once apologized.
This was a terrible, terrible experience. I would never recommend this location, especially to vegetarians, people with religious dietary restrictions, or anyone with food allergies. Mistakes like this are dangerous and disrespectful.
McDonald’s really needs to take action against this kind of behavior. As for me — I will never eat at McDonald’s again, and I strongly warn others about the Waterloo Boardwalk McDonald’s inside Walmart.

Waited 15 minutes for my coffee. I was standing at the counter like an idiot, and all the associates were avoiding eye contact and doing literally nothing, and they cleared all of the unfinished orders from the board without even serving me. They didn’t even offer an apology.

I legitimately waited for 10 minutes for a single mcdouble and got to watch as the guy in the back stood around doing nothing, just standing there with the buns ready and nothing happening. I don't know if the patties weren't cooked or something but I eventually just had to leave without my food (paid $5 btw). They cleared all of the unfinished orders from the board so that those KPIs still look good though! 0/10, the only solace was that the workers in the front were clearly uncomfortable with how long it was taking, as 6 or 7 of us stand around waiting for simple orders
